Johnston “J.Stone” Greenhow

Johnston Greenhow, known as J Stone was born on June 1, 1983 in San Antonio, Texas. At an early age his family relocated to Virginia Beach, Virginia where he was exposed to a vast array of music and genres, but none would grab his attention more than rhythm and blues. At the age of four he knew he was destined to be a singer and soulful entertainer who would eventually find a deep rooted connection with his audience. But this relationship did not happen overnight. In fact it took many years to develop. At the age of eleven, after his Grandfather passed, J’s Uncle gave him a “Mix Tape” that what would soon become one of his most cherished possessions. It featured all things R&B, from the smooth vocals of Shai, to the stratospheric high notes of Mariah Carey. For young Johnston this tape would change his life forever. Days passed as he walked around with headphones glued to his ears, memorizing every harmony and singing every lyric. He knew he had found his path and was ready to embark on his dream. This meant more than singing and song writing. He began recording and engineering music, and pursued photography and videography. In 2014 he formed the duo “Da Lost Boy’z” with close friend Samuel “Es Aye Em” Wilburn and eventually described this new creation as his ultimate purpose. A culmination of life and experience that would tell stories of heartbreak and survival, love and redemption and all through music. He knew that if he had felt like a lost soul then perhaps the music could reach out to a world of lost souls. He had found himself crying out to be heard so why not let the music give others a voice too? He felt the emptiness that life can bring, but rather than fall victim to the darkness, he became a beacon of light and inspiration to those who need it most. This is where the music of “Da Lost Boy’z“ shines brightest. A connection for the lonely. A bridge for the downtrodden to bravely cross together. J Stone knew this soulful collaboration would not only help him through the rough times, but anyone else with an ear to listen and a heart to feel. The message is aspirant but certainly from the heart...“to all those in the dark ...know you are not alone.” To those who are “Trapped in the head, and lost in the heart... this is the path of Da Lost Boy” to which J Stone is the self proclaimed King.
