In a nutshell this song is about my commitment to my wife and that I promise her I will work through any problem we may face. I wrote the song after a pretty hefty fight we had early in our marriage. We have been married 21 years this coming October. I am committed to her now more than ever. I can't imagine my life without her. She is an incredible wife and mother. Tough times will come and go but I promised her then and still do today that "I'll do what I can" to "calm the waters" and then to "grow in the waves" as they come. It is a great upbeat song with lots of happy sounding chords and melodies which reflects how we can find harmony and happiness even when dealing with tough issues.
