Carroll Cockrell Easy Listening Acoustic Guitar's recording of "Serenity" is pleasant mood music, for setting a mellow tone. It consists entirely of guitar and perfectly synchronized bass. The bass is mixed in a little too loud, thus darkening the sound. With a title like "Serenity," that makes a difference. Carroll plays with nice tone and expression, but not always clean. Instrumental songs depend heavily on a basically spotless performance by the player. The small occasional mis-strums cut into the serenity of the mood created by the piece. Enjoyed listening! Hi Carroll! Great playing and it is always a pleasure to hear someone playing the guitar! You are playing very clean and the the sound is easy on my ears! I like the transitions that create a bit of depth to the playing as well as the light and fluent sound of the melody. You can tell that the song is not over-produced that said it would lend itself to commercials or documentaries if you wanted to pitch it this way. These are the little candies that the ear loves to be taken away with. I look forward to hearing your next venture! I hope you are able to work with other artists as you continue to play your guitar! Sometimes we love to hear a solid hour of guitar playing! Your music also lends itself to background music for fine dining! I can really hear your music being played in a documentary and possibly you could pursue this further. In production you could maybe pull out the guitar a bit more think Pink Floyd with the fine notes that recinate with us so well. Anyways, thank you so much for sharing and I wish you much success!
