Hello subscribers, I figured I should probably send something out since you all took the time to sign up for my mailing list at some point. There are lots of fun things going on musically in my life right now. First and foremost songwriting and pre-production is going on for the next Dirtball Deluxe album. We currently are planning to have about 10 to 12 songs for the album when all is said and done. As of right now, seven songs are written with six of them in a completed phase. Initial recording of drums and guitars has been completed on five of them. Additionally, we are planning to re-record six songs from the previous record to be released as an EP after the new record is out. The band thought it would be a great idea to put them out with the current lineup since they are much tighter and slightly different that the original versions on our Further Down the Highway album. We are very excited for this. In addition to the new Dirtball Deluxe album, I am recording and producing a new solo release tentatively titled Where This Road Leads. I was hoping to have it done and out by now, but due to other commitments from the musicians and producers I am using, it has been delayed and will hopefully be out by spring or summer. Many of the songs on the album have been shared at some point in demo form on Soundcloud or Reverbnation. I am excited for everyone to hear the finished versions of the songs because they are sounding amazing. As many of you know, I am also in a duo with the ever talented and amazing Stacy Lee that we call The LowLee Ones. We are booking some great gigs for the winter/spring and also have started conversations about writing and recording. Ideas are flowing and songs are being constructed, and I am super excited about that because Stacy is an amazing singer and songwriter and I am pumped to work with her in that capacity. Look for something in demo form later this year as we go through the writing stages and move into pre-production. That is most of the exciting news I have at this point.
