Like a snowball rolling down a hill, the band Black Light Jesus has been gaining fans everywhere they play. Their unusual approach to music has stretched across many flavours of musical style. From the hard driving, groove-oriented songs like "America", and "You Borrow", to the sweetest sounds of songs like "Ladonna", or "Horse", this CD is full of songs that reach for a new, and higher level of musical enjoyment. The band formed in the early part of 2009 when Mike Weidler and Mike 'Moe' Morgan, whom had done many musical projects together, met Allen Brooks through mutual friends, and then added their friend Garry Johnson on the bass. They decided to do a new project together that would include all of the "extra, stored up" songs they had individually written over the years. The kind of songs that get put on a shelf due to time constraints and/or other such demands from life that took away from their completion. If only they could have known what "Musical Gems" were waiting to come out! The result of 'aging', had brought forth the creation of some real musical genius.
