Song Reviews

Nice tune.

The guitar is very nice, and the voice accompnaying it works well, but I think right off, you wait a little too long to bring the vocal in. having said this, I also feel alittle too long of a wait for the rest of the band as well. Of course, this is only my opinion, so you can take it or leave it, maybe I'm spoiled and want things quicker, LOL. but I enjoyed the songs very much, I just think the dynamics are good and would only feel better to get that all in a bit sooner. Good luck with your continued efforts.

Country Song by Bjorn

Hi Bjorn! I Like this Tune of yours! In my Opinion, it needs to be Played A Little Faster, Pick Up the Tempo as it is Too Slow! Nice Use of the Guitars, especially the Lap Steel and Electric "Slide" Guitar. The Words Flow Nicely, with Much Emotion, like you are "Telling A Story" Do You Have A "Song Title" for this Composition? Keep Up the Good Work on your Songwriting Compositions and Recording! In My Opinion

Greetings, Thank you for choosing me to review your work, I count it an honor to be included in such a task. My hat is off to you and anyone willing to step out and share their gift, talent and love of music to the public. Be it a musician, singer, song writer, actor and so-on. I myself, via 40 some years of experience in the fields, on the road, in the studio, radio, TV, video, and management, consider myself to be a seasoned musician, singer, song writer, studio-sound tech/engineer/ owner/operator, stage manager, find it sometimes hard/difficult and perhaps not even fair to sit in a seat, voicing My Opinion concerning another's creative efforts. Especially in certain genres of music I am not all that familiar with concerning very important elements that make up and meet the required standards to justify the various levels of ratings and grades. So, in saying ALL that, I will limit myself to MY Opinion concerning the quality of the work according to My ears, and the standards I have been familiarized with thru-out the years. I hold to the old - saying " Beauty Is In The EAR of The Beholder ... LOL. The sound quality of the backing music in this recording over-all is very crisp and bright and clear, Consider adding a little processing on your vocals a little , not singing in a tunnel, more natural sound, but, not dry and flat either. you need to add a little volume to your vocal, the music at times is more dominate. I really enjoyed the message in this song. Vocals are smooth and natural, sort of - down to earth as they say, and extremely peaceful. The mix levels need a little better balance to let me know who was still in charge of this song. Very easy to sit back and listen to. I mean no offense in any part, I myself take all feedback and use it as a tool toward my next project. I pray you feel the same way. Either way, I say to you, keep doing what you do, keep kicking and enjoying what you do. I tell folks all the time for many years. When it stops being FUN, then it's time to stop, and stand back and think about what we are doing, why we are doing it, how we are doing it, what we and others are getting out it. Is it what we want, and how we want it. IF NOT. what are willing to do from there? Thank you again for asking MY OPINION. Johnny

easy listening

Hi there and thank you for the invite to review your Composition which i must say that i found your track in my personal music opinion to start with i feel the intro could be a little more inviting and your sound levels at the start are very low but then it builds up very well both on sound level and song structure and becomes a very nice song both melody and lyrics and your vocals are not bad but could be better if your trying to get some radio airplay you might be better to remix the production again,i,m sorry i was unable to give you the thumbs up on this track but i am just being honest with you.

Nice ballad, and smooth vocals tone! But a little too long and monotone...

Hi Bjørn! First off, I know exactly how it is to write a song in the '90s and only re-recording it after 2020 ;) ... I love how your song builds up from some nice guitars filling the space between left and right. The soft piano and other interesting sounds are nice additions once in a while... The vocals are a little monotone (I make the same mistake sometimes)... Also, the song seems too long, perhaps making it harder for a listener to listen to it entirely (or for a radio to pick it), especially since there is no change in rhythm or intensity... I love the solos at the end of the song!

Mood and tonal guitars - great track!

Beautifully balanced and delicate. I love the guitars in this, particularly the lead throughout and the breaks. The tone of the guitar is so nice. When the voice comes in, it adds a gritty edge of emotion. I could definitely hear this being used in a soundtrack to a Netflix drama or similar. I think it would benefit from backing vocals to lift it up even higher towards the end, like when the synth strings come in, maybe on the last chorus before the final break but it works well without it also! Well done, great song.

Remarkable instrumental based Song

The intro grabbed me right from the start. Have listened to this wonderful played acoustic guitars a couple of times because I like the sound very much. Bjorn has the ability to sing with a distinctive voice lyrics about deep feelings, including all the relevant characteristics and events. Accompanying instruments bringing additional beauty into the song. The music includes great solo impressions from a Stratocaster which coming at the right time. These studio recording unleashes the imagination of contemporary infused music style. Imaginative transitions increasing the arrangement and all instruments are really there, where they should be on a track of this quality. An impressive arrangemend with Folk and Country-Music elements in perfect orchestration. Listen with open heart and I´m sure, you will like to add. Let others know your recommendation.

Great Guitar Work

"You Came Home That Day", by Bjorn starts off with some beautiful acoustic guitar playing and the melody evolves into a full band sound. The vocals may be just a little rough at times but the story and lyrics tell a good story. The song may be a little too long for some, so a little editing could make a difference. The electric guitar solos are beautifully played to fit the mood of the song. Nice guitar work throughout, but a little too long.

Bjorn!

This is a great song and I really like the feeling it has but if I may say that your vocals were a bit hard to hear at some times. The music to your song was nicely done and its arrangement was great. You just need to work on your vocals and you would have a great song don't get me wrong I'm not saying your song was not good I'm saying that with a little more work on the vocals and you'll have a great song! Thank you for the opportunity to review your song and thank you for your support by adding my songs to your play list. Bjorn keep writing great music and it's a pleasure having you in my network of songwriters.

Besonders

Wow

The music had great sounds and tones that really grabbed my attention. Vocals were on point and complimented the music and style. I really enjoyed it a lot. Just wanted to give you a little feedback didn’t have anything negative to say about it at all. Thanks for your time

You Came Home That Day

Let me start by qualifying how I review material.....I listen to the song from a commercial standpoint....which is to say... is it a viable vehicle to present to artists and or publishing houses for inclusion on an upcoming project? The other option would be you as an artist .... in which case either one likes …..or one dislikes. There's a lot to like about this....The production is good...Some very nice lyrical ideas.....vocal is simple and heartfelt. If it were me, I might to a look at the structure of your song.....(Refer back to my opening)...when trying for commercial placement...it's usually a good idea to have a tighter structure......The verse feels long......perhaps cutting it in half... might be an option.....This also allows you to really focus in on the lyrical content and present only your best ideas. The chorus feels right...simple and to the the point. The 1st solo section feels too long....Section has some nice elements in it but starts to drag towards the end of it. 2nd Solo sections feels like a repeat of what's already been stated earlier. A great option might be for you to check out how your favorite artists handle structure.... Again..... a nice job.... Good Luck and Keep Writing!...... RW

chitarra e sentimento

You Came Home That Day by "Bjorn" review.

I really really like the melody, and the lyrics. My opinion is that if it makes it to radio, it should probably be shortened up a bit. Get it closer to three minutes and thirty seconds to four minutes long. Great guitar work in the solo. You could maybe take out one of the solos to reduce the length of the song. The vocals are a little pitchy, but sounds kind of cool as a storyteller should sound. This merely my opinion. Good job Bjorn, keep doing what you love to do. Good luck to you.

Long quiet ballad

This long ballad is very relaxing. It flows so quiet and spontaneous, although there's a professional ability behind. I like your simple rhythm, because it's country and thoughful too. Very good.
