Billy Carrión and his orchestra represents all the best of our Latin music. From the Folkloric and the Traditional, to the Progressive side of Latin Music with some influences of Jazz. Its concept, the technique, the communication, the spirit, the complex compositions, sophisticated arrangements and a masterful execution that rewards attention.
Billy Carrión has bore witness to the entire unfolding of salsa while singing with many of its most legendary practitioners. His beginings in Salsa were in Mayagüez (expired link). with Orquesta La Solución next to Frankie Ruiz followed by his work with many Salsa music legends. His voice became known through hits like: “La Que Dice Una Mentira”, “Que Tenga Sabor”, “Dime Que Paso”; “Quiéreme”, “El Se Da Cuenta”, “Llámame Llámame”. Billy is best known for his role as lead vocalist in Luis Perico Ortiz' Romantic Salsa recordings
As a vocalist Billy worked with musical legends such as: Ray Barreto, Johnny Pacheco, Eddie Palmieri, Luís Perico Ortiz, Kako & Su Orquesta, Orquesta Los Rodríguez, Orquesta La Solución, Manny Oquendo y Libre, Batacumbele, Joe Quijano, Ned Sublette … In 2003 Billy was invited to perform with “FANIA ALL-STARS” at their concert in New York's  Madison Square Garden as a "Corista and Maraquero".
In 2009 he released his first solo work "Esta Fiesta". “ESTA FIESTA” song was the WINNER POPVOX BEST LATIN SONG at the 9th Independent Music Awards (IMA). In 2012 he was Honored as a composer and Vocalist at the “3er Festival De La Canción Mayagüezana” in Mayagüez Puerto Rico and in 2015 he received the first “Hector Lavoe” Life Time Achievement Award in Peru.
He recently release two singles from his soon to come 2nd solo work; "Como Crees Que No Quiero" & "En Este Momento".
