Thanks again Keith Baxter (Bax) NO PUBLICITY IS BAD PUBLICITY - BAXRECORDS SCOTLAND  Hi, I realise most of you that use this site are fellow song writers and composers, I find as a minor record label owner and musician the most difficult thing to achieve is getting the band name to become known so that people look for our music. As far as making it easy to find when people do search for it, it really is a case of using as many blog and promotion sites as possible to write about the band and our songs, but importantly, put as many tags as possible on the posts so the search engines pick them up when people are searching for songs on certain subjects and so on. I have been doing this for a few years now and although my BAX solo stuff and my band The Unpredictable Headband are not that well known we do have a large internet presence, meaning if someone does an internet search for Bax Keith Baxter, Baxrecords Scotland or The Unpredictable Headband we have a good few pages about us with links to where you can listen to or buy our music, also song titles like Fishermans rant can find our stuff. So if you plant the right seeds of information your internet presence will grow quite rapidly. I distribute our material via Songcast USA who supply us with royalty collection numbers for each track and collect our royalties - this has a cost, both financial and in time of course, but maybe one day we will sell enough records to make all the hard work worthwhile.
