Alinda's first album, Namibland is a potpourri of different genres. Country Music however, remains her first love and passion. Her love for her homeland, Namibia, is clearly felt in her passionate performance of the title song – Namibland, on the CD, "My hart het rus gevind in hierdie mooiste land van my"
Alinda was born in South Africa, but grew up in Namibia. A true "Plaaskind" as she refers to herself, she grew up and went to school in Gobabis.

After she finished school she studied Classical Singing at the College of the Arts. In the early 90's she returned to South Africa where she did further studies in the light music industry.

At the Namibian Eistedfod in 2009 Alinda won several trophies and was also declared overall winner in her category. In 2010 she won 5 Golden Medals, 1 silver, as well as the Overall Trophy Award in her category at the South African Association of Talent, Modelling and Entertainment and again 2 Gold Medals and 3 Silver Medals in 2019 at the Namibian Championship of the Performing Arts.
Alinda is a regular artist at all the big festivals in Namibia, as well as along the art routes. She is also a sought after performer at many prestigious events that are held so often in this art-loving country. In 2009 Alinda was crowned as Mrs Namibia and is currently closely involved in the organization of this renowned annual event.
