About Alcee

Alcee was Born into a musical background, (Alcee’s grandfather was a well-known artist in Africa) and got my first taste of music when he joined the school choir in primary. However it was not until upon moving to the UK that he truly took further interest and got involved in different musical projects.

Initially he started getting into music through a local community programme in Aberdeen Scotland to assist kids after school that were interested in playing instruments, singing, rapping, or learning to compose a beat. It was through this that he found his true passion for making music and began working on his own materials and writing songs.

As a producer, singer/rapper, songwriter and composer, Alcee was musically influenced by different genres of music and when growing up he looked up to artists such as Jayz, Aretha Franklin, Bob Marley and Ladysmith Black Mambaza to mention a few. Music is his passion and he enjoys the craft behind making a good song.

The diversity and dynamics of music inspires Alcee in that it is an avenue to express oneself, tell a story and bring together culture with poetry and song. Alcee aspires to write songs that make people feel good with a strong African, hip hop and R'n'B influence as well as keeping things commercially current with a lyrical focus on love, life and what is happening in the world.
