About The Gringos
The Gringos began in 1964 as a result of the success of Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass, but by 1970 the band had been retooled to the current members lineup. The group was signed by United Artist records with Snuff Garret and Steve Dorff as producers but the album was never released as the label was sold to EMI and distribution never happened. By 1980 the band decided to stop performing together and for the next 40 years the band member went their separate ways. The guys remained good friends still had a desire to make music together but everyone is spread out across the country. The Pandemic allowed the band to meet via Zoom daily and figure out a way to begin recording and releasing new music together. By December of 2020 the first new single in 40 years was released; "See The Light". The band released their third studio album last October and the band is nearly half way finished with their fourth album. Some of the songs have already been released with Walking In The Woods the most recent.
