Not my normal style but this dooooooope

So, being my introduction to Burna Black (tight name) My first thought was -“not another auto tune+mumble joint.” Phew! You can tell this dude is past that, and is in to writing tight ass songs. “I Thought U Loved Mi” starts off with a -not your run of the mill drum beat, it’s rather clever actually , and instead of the weak ass auto-tune we’re used to me hopefully sick of, this super dope raspy , but still hitting notes voice comes in and repeats the namesake a few times. The music reminds me of like a more how do I say this- a more serious/put together version of a tight late 90s rnb beat. It’s danceable and easy to sing a long the entire way through . When auto tune is used, it’s hella light and hard to spot . Not soaked and over saturated in the stuff. He’s got bars too. All together this song rips. Then it up or send it to the one who done you wrong. It’ll sting a bi. Well done .

to begin the vocals are undercut, and need to be up a lot more in the mix.......after that it all goes downhill from there. The backing track " beat" is really just a ,what 2 bar loop ,or is it one bar , didn't bother to count . Anyway it's a dull , and boring . the rapper the little i can hear of him seems pretty good . , and very unfortunately the "message " is kind of incoherant, because the vocal is so buried in the mix.......better luck next time , cause this isn't it , sorry..

I love the music! I listened to the lyrics and it feels good to see a man share his feelings without being afraid of the negative criticism. I love the message in the song. You should sign up to get your song played in movies, even if it's a Tubi movie..You're still going to profit just by the recognition you'll get. Keep writing, studying and stay focused.

in its vast and diverse landscape, often surprises us. This was the case when I stumbled upon a genre I usually don't gravitate towards. However, this time, it was a celebration of unexpected delight. The composition began with a subtle melody that gently nudged my curiosity. The rhythm was unfamiliar, yet it had an inexplicable allure. It was as if the music was a language I didn't speak but somehow understood. The harmonies were intricate, weaving a complex tapestry of sound that was both challenging and rewarding. The vocals were a revelation. The singer's voice had a raw, unfiltered quality that added an authentic touch to the music. It was a voice that carried the weight of emotions, transforming the lyrics from mere words into heartfelt expressions. The lyrics themselves were a journey. They told a story that was both personal and universal, resonating with my own experiences. The words were thought-provoking, prompting me to reflect on my own perceptions and biases towards this genre of music. The production was top-notch. The mix was balanced, allowing each instrument to shine without overpowering the others. The sound design was innovative, incorporating elements that were unconventional yet fitting for the genre. In conclusion, this musical experience was a celebration of the unexpected. It challenged my preconceived notions, broadened my musical horizons, and reminded me of the transformative power of music. It was a reminder that music, in all its forms, has the ability to touch our hearts and souls, regardless of our usual preferences. This was not just a song; it was an experience, a celebration of music's ability to surprise, delight, and inspire.

This is a potential banger. Yet the potential is diminished by the experience of the producer. The arrangement on this one is characteristic of an independent song. It simply lacks emotion and enthusiasm. The artist doesn't yet have his identity as a recording artist. Now on a good note, the potential is great to be a good song, it simply requires an experienced writer and producer to enhance the production with a great mix and new arrangement. Not to mention as director of talent in a good producer. One who can make an artist sound great and do things they weren't aware they could do with sound. I say on the 1-10 scale it hits me with a six.
