Song Reviews

Nice mix of World and Electronica

It's nice to hear the driving electric guitars and bass against an electro groove and drumkit. The intro included what appeared to be a radio broadcast announcement in French, and the verses seemed to a type of spoken vocal performance in French, similar to rap, but more laid back and mellower. About halfway in, I was hoping for some chord changes or a bridge section that never came. Without such a change or introduction of a melodic instrument or two, it unfortunately became a bit monotonous, essentially a drone with a groove. Would love to hear that added in a future mix or revision of the song! Keep producing these really great sounds! :-)

great track to put on in the car and go for a drive. it has a steady up lifting beat to keep you moving. well recorded and produced. the sounds are well put together with guitar and synth. there is a vocal sample that plays that i can't understand but it fits well with the music

Very nice composition - Music style is kind of special - sophisticate but popular - Song is rythmical and is very well suited with arrangement which is very rich with lot of very sophisticate well played instruments - In my opinion this composition have all attributes to be international radio hit - So go for it - This is great work - Keep on and do more of this fantastic music - Thank you I enjoy...

This song is really a cool mixing. The voice of the guy in the beginning is an original Brazilian speaking and I find this very cool. The guy is probably from a poor area of northeast of Brazil, I can tell by the accent. Thank you, for thinking on us.

cinematic track with tribal/world music influences, the beat keeps hypnotic and minimal along the track, while the narrator voice duets with the trial vocal sample, telling us a story about a world vanishing. The guitar keeps setting the rhythm with beating keys to keep the tension, while the solo guitar builds riffs to increase the dynamic. Amazing ambient !

I like it it's got that something that's hard to put into words, it's like that song when you here it, you want to get up and dance to it. But it also has that spirit that makes your mind wonder into visions of life. A great piece of work. I see why it's a popular song. Magic man magic.

This is a Great Idea for a Song.. but ( is just My Opinion ) if You make That String Instrument to play more than "just 3 notes" it will make It more Interesting.. as It is now is to static and Predictable..I know what You are trying to do but You need to make It Better.. I know that You are able to do It..and when You will make a new Recording make It a little shorter app 3.5 min long and after all is doneI got a feeling It will sound Much Better.. I wish You good luck with Pitching.. Good Job..

A powerful piece that has tension but also relaxing at the same time. I like the world music sounds and the feeling of the words (don't understand the language). It seems like something that could be in the background of a movie in a scene where the hero is headed somewhere there will be a battle.

I will put This Tune in a World / Spoken Word Category..It has a nice feeling but same time ( because Sitar ( or something like that is kind of annoying )...If You change that make it more complex it will help Your Song..as It is Now is to predictable..f.. It is also a little to long ( Radio Stations use mostly bellow 3.5 min long..to bad that Market for Music like that is very limited so Your Tune will have hard time to be placed in Music Publishing House..I do not know about Life performance but New Age Store will be a good place to Play It... I wish You good luck with submissions..I like a feeling of It.. Good Job..

A guitar riff and a looped vocal initiate this composition that then adds an addition distorted guitar before the spoken voice starts. The mix is well executed and all of the musical and percussive elements are well placed within their frequency spectra. This ensure that the song has a full sound throughout. The arrangement is also done in a straight forward fashion but the track would benefit from a couple of new themes in the outro that would add to the overall dynamics of the composition.

I do have a mix reactions about This..It do not have much chance as a "commercial" but I'm hearing and Art Inside...so the problem is what to do with something like that..I do not think Music Publisher will take It under Consideration and it will be Hart to Place It on some Radio Stations and Life Performance will be expensive to make possible..so the only way is ..to release It on The CD and let's see what will happen..I like It... but is NOT Important what I think...what to do next is the Question...

This is something interesting I will put it to Spoken Word / Meditations..I just wish that You make more complex arrangement..I like it but the problem is that The Music Market for something like that is Very Limited..there is a chance that Some College Radio will play it but as Music Publishers I do not know a Publishing House who will take it...I see Music like that be played in New Age Stores / Coffee Shops..try to contact Them..I wish You a good luck with pitching..Good Job.. I Like it..

I liked the whole atmosphere given by the track... a kind of gulmbard floating on the air, some electronic sound, the voice recitating his state of minde. It's really a nice inner travel. The only negative point for me would be the frums part, too binay and repetitive. In order to respect the theme, i would rather use more tribal percussions, jungle breakbeats, something like that. Anyway, it was a good moment in Amazonie.. :)... Bon boulot!!

It is a very interesting piece, the voice is in symbiosis with everything else and makes the piece even more interesting. the rhythm part and the synths are really pretty and even the voices gave me the feeling of being in a tribe of native Indians during a sacred ceremony.

I'm not a big electronica fan but sometimes i enjoy it. This was an interesting musical experience I enjoyed. I easily see this as part of some type of cinematic exploration of moving through a city landscape seeking an answer to something

Eclectic mixture of influences - has a sound all of it's own.

I really liked this track, it has originality and is well constructed. Stand-out aspects are most definitely the percussion; which I think it really needs more of...the sparse "African drum/congos?" samples sound great when they kick in. To help provide a critical review and suggest improvements; why not try compressing the electric guitar samples throughout, or perhaps side-chain that mixer channel to the vocal track, as sadly there are times where they are clashing with one another. I honestly think that reducing the "busy-ness" of the electric guitars that you used, by utilising more African percussion/drum sounds would really lift this track...ease back on the digital and return to the analogue ;) , especially true near the end where the guitars drop off (4:20?) I think it would be worth fading down much slower, and thin out the instrumentation, ending on a hand-drummed percussion instrument for the closing bars. Use the 4/4 kick drum as a spine and flesh it out with organic percussion. Check out Ma Africa by 1 Giant Leap for an example of what I mean. Hope this helps :)
