Hello everybody,
Here we are again. Still in the development of our album, we decided to change our name, we are now the "Ubik Kaotik Orkestra".
Here is a a link to a video with this name, an extract from a track called "Nobody knows". We hope you'll enjoy it. Happy listening, thank you.
Allways with passion.

Hi everybody,
Some of you may know it, when I put pieces here it was without really believing it, mainly driven by a movement of curiosity. I didn't expect so many people to appreciate what I compose. I was pleasantly surprised.
Having no professional objective, I never wanted to pay a subscription and I was content to always put three songs, for free. From time to time I lift one to put another.
That's what I wanted to do earlier, I deleted "Crash", which many liked, but the system still replied that I needed to upgrade.
This is not my intention. So I don't know if I'll be able to keep putting pieces here.
There is a very serious album project; I would like to be able to tell you more but I have no idea if I will be able to keep this name, Ubik, which nevertheless means a lot to me, because it is linked to the world of Philip K. Dick, and it is in my opinion one of his best novels. I don't know if legally I can use this name.
I would like to be able to give you a link right now, but maybe this message will be refused, because of its content.
I'm going to try just in case to give you the address of a Youtube channel where I haven't put anything for the moment, but which could be used to give you indications later.
In better than nothing mode...

Warm thoughts to all.

Hi everybody, how do you feel? Well?
For a few months, I now have a sound engineer to support me. Precisely, I missed it, because mixing is a real job, which requires very specific skills. But I didn't know where to find it and I couldn't afford one - and it's very expensive.
Benoît joined me and he does it for free, out of passion, because he loves what I compose. He has been mixing different bands for 30 years, in addition to his work (he is a computer technician).
You won't hear the result on the next tracks that I will put online, because for the moment, we have barely started on "Crash". But gradually the difference will be noticeable.
We have the project to create an album, with five titles: "Crash", "Lost shores", "Sabbath", "Newspeak" and "Crash Phase II". I have, in fact, enough to fill two albums, even three.
This new collaborator is important to me, because I am no longer the only one holding this music at arm's length.
Thanks to you too, for your support, because it's very hard to stay the course, when you're socially isolated, and quite misunderstood by your own peers.
Peace to all and good music. Let's keep moving forward.

"No way" comes straight from the novel by Philip K. Dick "A scanner darkly". There is a scene where Arctor, Barris, and Luckman are on the freeway and almost have an accident. They are finally at the edge of the highway, broken down, and they wait for the tow truck, totally stoned. I imagined this music while thinking of this passage. Weariness, discouragement, feeling of absurdity, expectation ... I hope you will feel the atmosphere of this song as I did. Thanks, Phil.

Hi, everybody,
How are you ? Fine ?
Something new, here : I have people who are interested in playing my songs. So, I'm trying to figure out how we can adapt this music, depending on who is coming, and who can do what.
If this project works, it will take time and a lot of effort. I will keep you informed.
In the meantime, this does not prevent me from continuing to compose, to put my ideas in place, through the detailed and precise work that you know.
Looking forward to sharing with you again ... And watch the surface.
I hope it will work. I do not hide from you that it is for me a turning point, an adventure, quite exciting...

Hi everybody, are you fine ?
This is my eleventh piece, "Lost shores", it’s about the sea and these once pristine continents.
This is the second piece to benefit from my new sounds, with violin and soprano saxophone, more realistic. It’s a composition quite different from the others, rather cool, almost a ballad.
In the nineteenth century, authors like Jules Verne could fantasize about unknown territories. I myself read and reread "20,000 leagues under the sea" and "Mysterious island", two novels that I love and that made me dream a lot. Nowadays, not only are all the distant places known and recorded, but even, defiled, threatened with destruction. Danny Boyle expresses it perfectly, through his film "The beach".
As for Philip K. Dick, in his novel "A scanner darkly", he evokes the moment when the earth "becomes plastic".We know that there are, right now, huge islands of plastic that drift offshore, and that intoxicate turtles, fishes, seabirds. "Lost shores" is the result of this rampage. Because these places are lost. And I wanted to allude to it, even if it’s in the form of music, even if it’s in a simple poetic way.

I'm almost finishing my tune, "Global Warning". I have never had so many difficulties composing a song. I started it in response to this idea of global warming, which I don’t contest. Quite the contrary : I say that this warming is only a piece of the puzzle. I think we are moving towards a global collapse of our entire civilization.
And in the meantime, while I was working on this piece of music, this epidemic was coming upon us. So, for me, it's time to say things clarly, and I do it in the form of music, in my own way. Translate these emotions, what I feel, into music.
Good listening and thank you for your support.

Hello everybody,
I was very ill and had a major operation. I had consequences and consequences, and it kept going, more and more. Things are a little better now. I went back to work on a piece that I’m going to call "Global Warning", because I don’t think it’s warming anymore. Situation is worse. I am almost certain that we are moving, rather quickly, towards a global collapse of our civilization.
So, "Global Warning". As every time, I'm not shure I'll be able to finish this piece of music. True composition is a real adventure !
Thank you for your support. You know, when I started posting here, it was out of curiosity, and I didn’t think so many people would encourage me. So... THANK YOU!

Hi everybody,
How are you ? Fine ? Not to hot ?
I made a very good job on my new tune, « Insomnia ». In particular, a crazy Fender Rhodes chorus. I am very proud of it.
But I may have some bad news on the health side. I dare not say anything for the moment, I will tell you what happens when I know more.
… Just hold on and cultivate hope…

Hi everybody,
A lot of people asked me for more. How to find my songs at Itunes, if I sell something, etc. So, a few days ago, I told my friend Bernard, who helps me since years, about a record.
He answered me that we could create one, as long as we make play real musicians. Then he played my music to a jazz pianist, who owns a label, and this man was very appreciative : many compliments.
So in a while, if all goes well, we might end up with an UBIK record...
I’ll let you know what happens next, but here we are, a project is underway...

Here we are. I just finished my new tune, "Winter is coming". I was allway thinking about my friend, Fabrice. I'm sure he would have liked it.
I hope you'll enjoy it. I had a lot of difficulties, but I did'nt give up.
Now it's time to listen, my friends. Cheers.
