About Truth Advocate
Truth Advocate has the desire to reach those that are reluctant to turn to Christ. Especially, today's youth. Truth was born in Fort Pierce, Fl and grew up with the dream of playing college football and in the NFL. While he did play in college, God had other plans for his life. After returning home and subsequently moving to Fort Lauderdale, Fl, he began to pursue a career in music. However, the music he indulged in was gangster rap.
Truth, known as Bishop to his family and friends, started a record label and began performing his gangster rap music with his artist and gained notoriety in South Florida. But, God tugged on his heart and changed his life forever. In August of 2006, Truth renewed his vows to God and gave his heart to Jesus. It was at that point that he turned from worldly rap and began writing Christian rap songs.
Since then, Truth as been writing songs for his solo albums, as well as, songs for his church choir and praise team. With each song that he writes, he hopes to send a message of love, joy, triumph. And he does so by saying, "I bet you can't listen just once".
