Music Producer Music Recording Musician VocalistDaTooFs real name is Tim and he is currently 40 years old. He was born in February of 1981. He has been making beats and writing music since 1996. He started freestyling during this time as well, yet never perfected the skill. Let’s rewind to the beginning, back the eighties. DaTooF grew up in Farmington New Mexico. He live most his life there with this mother and older sister. DaTooF loved music even at an early age. Him and his mother would turn on the radio or the record player every evening. They would kick back to enjoy Steely Dan and other songs of the eighties. DaTooF loved the long hair bands and the sounds they made. Growing up without having his father in his life, made him the man he is today. Tim Loves his father and they built a strong relationship when Tim was 12 years old. Well that’s a different story. And maybe I might just do a webcast about that. With artist, there are so many stories I could talk about. It was the year 1986 when hip hop music and underground music was trying to make their way into mainstream music. The Beastie boys with their song called brass monkey and two live crew hooked time in forever. He started to follow their music for a long time. In 2002 Tim saw two live crew LIVE in concert at the sunshine theater in Albuquerque. What started Tim in the venture down the hip hop world was all the old-school stuff like Vanilla Ice. Mr. Ice released a song called, Ice Ice Baby in 1990. Later in the early nineties Dr. Dre, Mack 10, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, Easy-E and 2-Pac paved the way and inspired Tim to make hip hop music and rap. On September 13, 1996 2-Pac was killed in Las Vegas Nevada. Tim was devastated and knew that he would need to do is best to compete with top rappers in the music Industry. Now that we know what inspired Tim to make music. Now, let’s dive into his discography. In 1996. Tim and Larry also known as L J. started free styling anywhere they could. Larry was better than Tim at free styling, so Tim looked up to Larry for inspiration and help. Larry and Tim did most things together and always went to the same parties together. At the party’s people, would ask them to free style. Tim states that he has old VHS recordings of the early free styles they did together. Years later Tim was working at Domino’s Pizza in 2002. While working at this joint, a co-worker named Paul gave Tim a nick name. DaTooF. That day DaTooF emerged into what he is today. Tim no longer used his real name as a stage name. Timmy DaTooF, long time forever was born. Years later he changed his stage name to just Timmy T, then back to DaTooF. Also he combined both stage names to form Timmy T DaTooF. Now a days, Tim goes by DaTooF or Just TooF. So when you see him on your block. Holler at him and say, Yo tooF! Now that we know what inspired Tim to make music. Now, let’s dive into his discography. In 1996. Tim and Larry VHS video freestyles. From 1997 to 2001 Tim made hip hop beats called, the old school beats. All solo beats. In 2002 DTL, Duck the Law freestyles LP was released by Tooph, Larry, Little Dee, and Big Mack Rory. In 2003 DaTooF produced more beats called the Skyler beats and old school beats Volume 1 through 4. In 2004 DaTooF join up with a cat name Dusty and Scottie. Together they formed a group called The Dirty Trio. The dirty Trio album will be re-released in April 2017 this year. On soundcloud and reverbnation for streaming and downloads. In 2005 DaTooF, dusty and scottie released a freestyle LP. with only 3 tracks they never tiled the album so it was called the Untiled Album. The group broke up early 2005. DaTooF went solo and did collaborations for there on out. In 2005 to 2006. DaTooF released two solo single tracks of Dirty Trio that DaTooF made Diss songs to them. Another long story that we may or may not cover. In 2006 DaTooF and Willie G made a few single tracks. DaTooF joined Bandlab and Revernation in Nov. 2016 and meet artists all over the USA. This is how my music’s life started. All together I produced 23 tracks with many different artists. We produced the Best of the Best freestyles in 2017 in May. Now the Best of the Best Freestyles have a double disc album. Excellent job. Best of the Best Freestyles first album in Nov. 2016 and Second album in 2017, its Timmy DaTooFs time in the limelight.
