Tony Nirta MUDMEN

This composition was on the first Cd by Tony Nirta MUDMEN 1995 released in Adelaide. We had for previous years produced a Christmas tape each year which we distributed to our friends. I am at present tracking down those earlier songs, many of which haven't been heard till recently. We started recording on reels and then Tascam 4 trak, which gave Tony much more ability to compose. We moved to 8 Trak Tascam a few years after and eventually got to PC editing on Cubase. Not ever having a real income available and doing only a few live performances gave chance to really explore what a song can achieve. I hope you enjoy our music xxx

I have just arrived home from Woodford Folk Festival, located just outside of Brisbane. The fires are eating the Australian east coast. We left from there for Coffs Harbour, plumes in the air of huge amounts of smoke in the distance. From there to Canberra where they are now experiencing the worlds most devastating air pollution. It's the other side of the range where the fires are burning. I headed off from there a few hours after to make it home in N/E Melbourne. Driving all night there were clear roads and little traffic, 1,950 k's were covered in this journey. My home and community are safe at present with fires contained, but that is not the same for everyone , I ask for Love and Clarity to be sent to these people and wild life in the fires at this extremely challenging time. xxxx
