Authentic audio!I have listened to this song for a while and still my best comments for the authentic audio you´ve got. I find interesting the use of arrangements with camera intruments looking for a constant communication with electronic and genre tools. Nice Job!
Swirling soundsSmell the Roses by Ralph Tomaselli is a song of swirling sounds. It offers the song a cushion to sit and enjoy the polished song that it is, gliding effortlessly from verse to chorus. Personally I think it deserves a bit more oomph! (I had my volume up well over half). Saying that, it's multi layered instruments and vocals makes it a hell of a lot of fun to listen to, with a particularly catchy chorus. All very spacy sounding stuff with a good polish to it.
Great TitleLove how all the instruments wash together in this driving new age rocker. Digging the synth strings, the vocal interplay and of course the drums. Tight harmonies with nice synth melodic lines. This one will grab the attention of a record company for sure. There's got to be a market for retro new age driving rock with sensible lyrics and good musicianship. Over all good job with this one fellas. My only complaint is that it ended too soon.
Wishing to smell the roses too!Ralph has an intriguing sound on this cut. A bit alternative yet still in the rock vein that appeals to a wide audience. It's not too far out in the realm of weird yet just weird enough to be more interesting than a straight ahead genre. Like that he didn't go off on some meaningless trip about journeys and experiences. He just stayed to the topic and the point he was trying to make. He got a pretty decent sound from what sounds like a home studio. Would be interesting to hear about how he recorded the tune and what equipment, sounds, and gadgets were used. Great topic that I think most people can relate to with all our constant staring at tech gadgets and missing the life around us. Sometimes it seems like we are all getting less and less connected and because of that more narcissism shows up. The tune is timely I think. I, myself get tired of starring at my phone all the time. I often wish to just be "smelling the roses" too instead of constantly being a doing machine. When we spend so much time doing we forget to be appreciative and express gratitude for the day we are blessed with. Like that he captured all of that in the lyrics. Love the effects: Fits the topic of being conflicted with lack of time and trying to live some good life too. In Riverside CA, I'll bet people can really relate from sitting in the traffic all the time. I've been out there and done that! The song really captured those conflicted feelings about needing to do yet wanting to be! I think anyone who is caught up in being a doing machine can relate. Perhaps we will stop and smell the roses by putting down our phones, and taking a few minutes to listen to this tune! Thanks Ralph!
Smelling Ralph's RosesRalph's roses smells EXCELLENT !!!!!! I dig his new track called Smell the Roses. It kind of reminds of a great band called Faith No More. It reminds me of the Faith No More album Angel Dust. I guess the reason for that is because this song has a strong Bass line and It has strong presence of Keyboards. Ralphs vocals are similar to Mike Patton's as well. This song is a good listen and its very strong song writing. I give this a 4.5 out of 5
A great architecture of soundsYeah!!! finally an alternative Rock song with a powerful, open and Great sounds. beautiful the architecture of the song and the twisting echoed distorted voice. Recalls "a perfect circle" and good direction for Rock!

Important Rock-SongA rock-song with important message. That are really engaged lyrics about our consumer society in hard times, about people who won´t realize what´s really matters. The singer Ralph Tomaselli has a unique dynamic voice and has surpass himself with the lyrics as songwriter. The songtext comes from the heart and touches the soul. An extra factor is the rythm which brings really power into the song. The refrain has a wise message and makes the meaning of the song engaging for me. Also different sounds from the keyboard, especially in the bridge comes at the right time. You will hear strings in the backround making this composition complete. Overall a very creative arrangement of a multitalented musican. Listen to the song and I´m sure, you will like to add it. Let others know your recommendation.
Smells GoodGreat pop rock sensibilities. Well blended guitar and keyboard movements. Vocals are great and the song is well crafted. I like the style and vibe of this track and would easily enjoy more from this outfit.
I Like It!Great song! I love the sentiment behind the lyrics, I love the vocal effects, and the music is a great beat. I liked it from the beginning right on through to the very last note. Keep up the awesome work! Great message in the song as well!
A Film Noir Ending! What comes to mind while listening to "smell the roses" is that it is the outro of a B&W film noir film. The hero was an anti-hero and the protagonist was less than a vestal virgin. Still, it's better than most of the outros Hollywood churns out by a longshot!
Distrorted perfectionA raw, well produced song in a distorted sound. Good lyrics, catchy and a great voice that brings the song to a real high.level. This song earns its place in charts and in peoples playlist, if you like to smell the roses, that is.
smell the rosesVery good song. This song has a great message for all of us. We need to help each other and look out for one another. It's such a fast paced society and we forget to see each other and help one another.
Hardcore original rock is here!!I truly like your production of this song as it is very reminiscent of the Hardcore Rock Bands that forged our industry as we know it today!..Your accent to drums shines thru in this performance making sure there is no mistaking your sound!..It has you take hold and wait for every lyric as this rocking track rolls thru leaving you in the end with what every musician strives to get, and to keep,..The Beat!!...
