Just my opinion

Nice very nice! This is great picture or editing music. How did you make it? Is it played free hand or computer created? Well anyways keep up the good work

Tasty, mellow great guitar playing.

Being a fan of early eagles, the outlaws, allman btothers ifound a lit to like in this track. This song is perfect listening for a lazy day at the beach. The guitar playing is top notch with great note selection and melody. Sounds like it was a telecaster played though a fender classic sound. The only criticism would be the drums could have been a little more intersting but thats just me. Great effort look foward to hearing more.

S.W.A.L.K Review by Camron Prince

This is a pretty well structured instrumental! Loved the melodies and the way that you was able to tell a calm story with the guitars. The only part that was a bit lack luster for me was the drums/percussion.. while most elements were mixed nicely, the kick could use a bit more layers/weight added and then just decreased from there. The side-snare was a bit bland as it didn't carry any other characteristics. Maybe it was intentional, fair dues, but didn't make it for me. Overall, loved the production of everything else and the space in the mix. I'd love to see what the potential vocal work you have in store bring out for this project. All the best! #MusicLove

Kind of Peaceful Song

This music really has a nice feeling to it, it remains me of the prairie, its good music to listen to when you go on a vacation. It is raw, simple, but don't let that fool you, all the parts of the song complement each other really well. Great Tune!

Gary Jones brings us S.W.A.L.K. which means sealed with a long kiss. An instrumental that while the artist is listed as alternative and rock, this piece has the vintage feeling of Eric Clapton or perhaps more to the point, J.J. Cale. The gentle dance through the song is sublime from its instantiation, but there is a missing component of dynamic tension that leads to a climatic ending and release. Based on its fade out ending this piece was probably significantly longer and edited down to a specific measure count. That is more of a missed opportunity than a flaw from a producer's standpoint. For me personally and subjectively, the key missing piece would have been a part for the classic sound of a Hammond B3 complete with Leslie cabinet for the classic rock song growl which I believe this song was begging for.

Country

Very crisp sound nice and clear sounding like a hit. I'm really like the flow of the guitar. Though the two genres used to describe this song I would add country as well since it sounds to me like it has some country touch to it which it's real cool the way the electric guitar seems to have that sort of flow. Overall congrats on your song much success to you.

A Smooth Walk Through The Park

A gentle, country feel sets up this song. Melodically the electric guitar sings from the top. After stating the melody, a well played improvised solo breaks up the production and leads to another feel and abbreviated melody. The next section feels as if the composer wanted to walk me through a fresh picture ripe with new chords, textures and tonalities. I enjoyed listening to this one. It challenged my sense of melodic and harmonic formula. If I was to complain about something, it would be the fadeout ending. The final guitar melody could easily come to a more current ending, by a defined ending spot, thus making the track feel more relevant in this time. But even then I enjoyed the song and would gladly listen to it again. Maybe even take it on my next long drive road trip as part of a driving tunes cd.

'S.W.A.L.K' Review

Very nice guitar melody, it has a very nice quality about it. It has a very soothing sound listening to it. I like the choice of drum and accompaniment. I am the kind of person that likes instrumental music, i don't think it needs to always have a singing voice in each music track you hear. It is just nice to listen to the music as it is played and to take you to a nice place. I always say, music takes you on a journey. Well done!

"S.W.A.L.K. (Instrumental)"...

Hey Gary !!! I just listened to your track, "S.W.A.L.K. (Instrumental)". The first time I listened to it through just my computer speakers and thought, "Hey, when are the lyrics coming in?". It drove me crazy. I checked out your profile and heard that you have lyrical songs as well as instrumentals and this one was an instrumental. You had a really nice singing voice too. I then listed to this track again, this time through my Headphones, and realized that this track definitely stood on it's own. It's a fantastic Instrumental Gary !!! I could listen to it all day, but you faded out at the end. I love the sound and the chord changes. Love the picking of the guitar too. Are you going to leave it as an Instrumental? Or are you going to add lyrics to it later? Either way, I think you have yourself a good one here. All the best. - Richard - Richard Danar Music

Review from barnum's freak

This song reminds me of a certain American folk , ( a bit American, a little Syill crosby & nash ) guitar reminds me of musicians like mark kpnoffler & mike oldfield . Overall a pleasant working and nice but lacks " oomph " and pays the use of drum machines . some passages are interesting but the song and ' too shy .

Playing with the parts.

Hi Gary: Thanks for letting me share with you my personal opinion on your song, I am using the same rule I use with my songs when I switch from a musician to a producer; I will say what I feel about the song, no sugar coat. There are a lot of good things here; Good mix, guitars sounding good and a catchy intro and also a good end. My first question what is S.W.A.L.K.? why the name? when you name a song you are giving since the beginning the first step for a good song; imagine George Harrison naming the Something song; L.E.A.V.E. H.E.R. N.O.W. (never mind is just a joke). Here it goes; good guitars, the bass is too much on the back and is not helping to define the parts on the song. The drum is just a machine there are no fills no changes and makes the 4:15 minutes too long, Please don't misunderstand me this is a good song but; The parts: the catchy intro should not be repeated so long the first change goes up to 1:10 after that it comes a bridge that could be the main chorus but it needs definition on the melody and also to be more strong you are very close on that, Use the Block theory (Block A intro, Block B bridge, Block C Chorus, etc and move them in between and remember also that silence is also music). You are a very talented musician and I am certain very soon you will have this figure out. Cheers from Minnesota. El MAGICO.
