The Legend Lady J she was born in Memphis Tennessee and grew up with the inspiration to create music. She was inspired by her departed father Mr Joe Lewis Light, who wrote and composed songs, poems and who is well known for his contribution in the folklore art world. She participated in many talented shows, charitial and community events throughout Memphis, which include other cities and states. She dealt with the many challenges while developing and setting the foundation as one of the first known independent female hip-hop artist that brewed from Down South. TL Lady J passion for musici is her inner fuel, that keeps her motivated in creating new music .She attended Northside High School her senior year and graduated and continue her studies at Shelby State Community College which is now known today at Southwest and later to obtain a Bachelor degree in Business Management at Bethel University.. TL Lady J takes pride in writing alone or collaborating with other talented co-artist and/or producers to come up with different genres and hybrids of commercial whicjh consist of a variety style of music. TL Lady J style of writing of Hip Hop , R&B which sometimes includes a twist of reggae styles of writing, all contribute in the cutting edge of her musical capabilities. TL Lady J Lyrical Deliverance style of music, has been described as being a very versatile crossover type of artist, which differ from many others.. In fact, she is not to be considered as just a Rap artist alone, but recognized as the Lyrical Deliverance artist that creates songs which are composed from many different classified categories of sounds, such as Hip Hop, R&B, Pop, Rock, Gospel that hels to create a head bobbing kind of Funk. like no TLVLady J's 1994 single release of Glock N My Hand aided in the foundation of what is known today as Down South Hardcore style of Hip Hop music. TL Lady J has performed at several cities around the world, such as St Louis, Cleveland in Ohio, Jackson and Dyersburg in Tennessee. TL Lady J has traveled and performed in several states, just to name a few California, Chicago, Mississippi, Arkansas, and Atlanta. TL Lady J has accumulated many loyal fans around the world which include many foreign countries, such as France, China Germany Japan and Canada. TL Lady J talents also include playing the keyboard, interior decorating, cooking, and managing her own Publishing Company. TL Lady J has three biological children, the oldest being her daughter, Kiera Gibson Winton aka Princess Alima and two sons Denzel Turner aka Whi D also possess musical talents of dancing, song writing, and recording. in which, the youngest son Devontay Turner aka YNL TRELL also produces many of his own tracks.
