Bassist Composer Guitarist VocalistNashville’s Chris Jackson aka/ Me Myself and Eye has been writing and recording songs since pre-teen years. No genre or topic is typically out of bounds as his material ranges from light-hearted comedy to social angst to relationships…almost always with a solid hook and infectiously addictive chorus which often leads the listener to sing before the end of the song. In the late 80’s to early 90’s Jackson played in a couple of Clarksville, TN garage bands including the cover group the Classifieds and the off-the-wall, politically incorrect Violent Marshmellows. (purposefully sic) who’s small but loyal following danced to the strains of the Marshmellow classics like “Stupid, But Dangerous” and “Flushed Away”. The Marshmellow’s enjoyed a short but fun run the height of which was playing a gig at Nashville’s legendary Douglas Corner Cafe where some of the audience lit marshmallows and threw them on the ceiling to be stuck for years during the encore “Scooby Dooby Doo”. Since 1992 Jackson has gone through periods of total musical abstinence at times to being an extremely prolific writer. The current incarnation of Me Myself and Eye is a vehicle of musical freedom for him. “Some people write in a diary, I write a song,” said Jackson. “Some people watch a movie or read a book to entertain themselves…I write a song.
