Two Become One

Upbeat! We all seek connection in life, and this is a little different spin on a ceremonial love song. It has a modern take on relationships and a nice rock vibe An overall good message, supporting the union of a couple in exchanging rings. There is good movement to the song, and you can clearly hear all the lyrics, and enjoy this song.

Great melody and beautiful lyrics. Pop Rock Genre would also gain you a top positionin the charts. The best part is the gentle guitar, nice riffs. Percussion sets the pace in a way this song makes it a sing along for a rave with friends. So yes it is a great wedding song! I hope it is played often at weddings and gets lots of airplay. Sympathetic Love Song

Maybe you will think that´s a nice acoustic based song, when the music starts with a rhythmical and very engaging guitar-sound. It seems, it´ll be going on like this. But you will be surprised. All instruments are original in this studio-recording, what´s very seldom today. The acoustic-guitar make the introduction and additional very good played rock guitar comes in. Powerful drums and great bass make the arrangement of this expertly well done love song complete. Geno has a unique dynamic voice and the romantic passion of the lyrics comes from the heart and makes the meaning of the song engaging for me. Very professional mastered and mixed recording. But why do I tell this? Well, you might be a rock music fan who´s surching for light at the end of the tunnel for good music. This song could be a radio hit and it´s original. I´m sure you will also hear, why this Band is rank #1 here on N1M.

What a cool song

Really a great job done out of necessity which is such a cool ride when you have a truckload of soul just waiting to bust out. Good vocals, the snare has a great pop, and I'm sure any loving couple can appreciate the honesty that this song shares coming from the heart. Best of luck to these guys. the song also has great arrangement with the drummer doing timeless pickup notes at the end of the progressions and a good feeling overall.

Two Become One Review from Millard Randolph Curry

I was pleasantly surprised when listening to "The Diligents" song Two Become One. The recording artistically wove acoustic guitar, vocals, electric bass, electric guitar, and drums into a beautifully arranged song. To me it has a Nitty Gritty Dirt Band feel to it. This song also reminds me of outdoor festivals and good old downhome music. This band certainly has the potentional to continue climbing upwards with great music for everyone to enjoy. Keep Up The Good Work Fells! You've definitely got something going on here.

Great wedding song

This song has a great feel, It's like it is a mash up several classics. The words are very good as a wedding song which is always a difficult subject without getting cheesy. The production standard is high and vocal harmonies are great.

Two Become One

Two Become One is a wonderful love track in vein of Goo Goo Dolls and Deep Blue Something. Classic singer songwriter tune perfect for a wedding song. Inspired by a certain brand of love tracks with swell production and a band playing well behind it. Take a listen if you’re head over heels for the one!

a really nice song!

It's very catchy and happy, I can defenitely see it for a wedding or as a background music for a love video. It's well recorded, good sounds, the voice is not technically perfect but I'd say that that imperfection gives charme to it. I can't say much of the lyrics cause even though I speak good english I don't perceive lyrics immediately, but they defenitely flow well with the tune. Defenitely the best song I've reviewed so far.

A Little Google Dolls in Here!

The duo sound is great. The beat is fun and explodes. I love the vocal. It's a very fun song with great drum. I love the harmony; I think that's the best. Great drummer and guitar. Just an all around great fun song.

A good starting place

I really liked the way this one starts out. Granted I am a sucker for a well recorded acoustic, but rather than being delegated to the background sonic landscape, the acoustic here is the main focus of the mix. The vocals are up in the mix as well, but as they rarely venture outside of the conversational key (no real high or low notes relative to the overall key of the song) I just feel that they lack anything special to single them out as a highlight of the tune. This is not to say that the vocals are bad or that they don't fit, its just that they seem to have become a secondary component. when the full band kicks in, everything is in its proper place yet somehow undynamic in their execution. My ear would have rather have tasted the tune as an acoustic only effort with possibly some strings added here and there for emphasis. As there is no real instrumental break I don't feel as if this would have taken anything away from the overall impact of the song. Don't get me wrong, all the instruments are very tastefully played and the level of the mix is spot-on, my only real gripe on the mix is that there doesn't seem to be a lot of openness or room for the song to breathe. The vocals however are another thing altogether. Though they are well up in the mix and I can hear every word very clearly, they seem a tad stilted and I can't help but feel as if they would have been performed better if the song was in a slightly higher key. As they are here they aren't so much sang as they are just spoken. I personally have a lot of my own songs that have this issue but that's the way it goes sometimes, especially in a "story-song" situation. This isn't a story song though, it is a wedding song. Being that, it just feels as if they should be sung with a little more emotion. The lyrics are well crafted and put together but there are some spots or phrases that tend to strain to rhyme a bit and a few instances where the vocal has to hold a note too long in order to match the cadence or meter. Basically, the song could do with some polishing in its writing. The downsides are that the main focal point is an acoustic rhythm guitar, there are no leads or any substantial turn-arounds and the vocals are not doing anything to lift the song emotionally. The rhymes are at times good and at other times generic and predictable but when dealing with this subject matter (its a wedding song) there aren't a lot of places to go with it. The mix is fine though the arrangement could do with something to make the music more dynamic or distinguishable. As it is (or as it is presented here) it sounds as if its a song that someone has just started writing but instead of fleshing it out it sounds to me as if it was taken into full production too early and it lacks the emotional impact that it was intended to capture. Not a 'bad' song just something that seems incomplete. I should know, I have a thousand of them myself.

In MY Opinion

Greetings, Thank you for choosing me to review your work, I count it an honor to be included in such a task. My hat is off to you and anyone willing to step out and share their gift, talent and love of music to the public. Be it a musician, singer, song writer, actor and so-on. I myself, via 40 some years of experience in the fields, on the road, in the studio, radio, TV, video, and management, consider myself to be a seasoned musician, singer, song writer, studio-sound tech/engineer/ owner/operator, stage manager, find it sometimes hard/difficult and perhaps not even fair to sit in a seat, voicing My Opinion concerning another's creative efforts. Especially in certain genres of music I am not all that familiar with concerning very important elements that make up and meet the required standards to justify the various levels of ratings and grades. So, in saying ALL that, I will limit myself to MY Opinion concerning the quality of the work according to My ears, and the standards I have been familiarized with thru-out the years. I hold to the old - saying " Beauty Is In The EAR of The Beholder ... LOL. The sound quality of the recording over-all is very crisp and bright and clear, I really enjoyed the message in this song. Think about a music solo break to step away from vocals for a short period in future works. Vocals are smooth and natural, sort of - down to earth as they say, and extremely peaceful. The mix levels let me know who was still in charge of this song. Very easy to sit back and listen to. I mean no offense in any part, I myself take all feedback and use it as a tool toward my next project. I pray you feel the same way. Either way, I say to you, keep doing what you do, keep kicking and enjoying what you do. I tell folks all the time for many years. When it stops being FUN, then it's time to stop, and stand back and think about what we are doing, why we are doing it, how we are doing it, what we and others are getting out it. Is it what we want, and how we want it. IF NOT. what are willing to do from there? Thank you again for asking MY OPINION. Johnny

Right off the back I like the song. Nicely composed and delivered. Very decent downmix. The song is comprised of various movements, shifts, harmony inserts and the likes. I like the placement of (1) slightly more intense guitar strum at the beginning of the 3rd bar after the first lyrics. Solid percussion and offbeat roll-outs at bars end was refreshing. The melody is mostly made up of double strike guitar work. strum strum.......strum strum......strum strum......but the drummer, obviously talented, double tapped into the second strum. the song was well thought out and arranged. I particularly liked the temporary halting of all sound at times to sing the chorus line. Most importantly to myself, is the message. Very nice work. Job well done.

Quiet song

I like the rhythm of this song, very contemporary, because this is a mix of rock and pop, with interesting stops inside too. The structure seems a ballad as Hoobastank. This is a very good song.
