The Abbeystills How can that. OK So for this song the review starts out we've decided to use some samples on this tack and wanted some feedback on that. So this review will focus largely on samples. When samples first came out they absolutely sucked they were recorded in 8bit and distributed on floppy disk on of the big names was akai to play these floppies for those who are interested in history. The next issues with samples was we cannot really do that live and i'ts difficult to get an real expression from a sample. So there still is a concern about if we use a sample how should we do that live. I was just watching a video that came up on youtube genesis 3 sides live and here the guitar player picked up the horn part originally played by earth wind and fire for no reply at all. But that was then perhaps now a band may simply play a sample live. Still some consideration is required. The next thing with samples is can they be expressive? I'm not sure where the samples are in "how can that" but the electric rhythm guitar I thought could have been more expressive but the lead sounded fine to me. The hand claps sounded like they came out of a box and I think it would have been best to at least over dub a couple of real ones. Drums maybe sampled but if you're not a drummer well I know the feeling. Strangely I myself have got more real sounding drums from using samples see mountains remake. The bottom line on samples is that they have got one hell of a lot better but a great deal is required to bring out the best in them. I liked the keyboard sounds no matter how they were achieved. How can that is a fairly up tempo tune. There were a few lyrics that reminded me of something else already done which I kind of didn't like but the chorus was great and natural. Music can be a continuous in development.

I really feel that this song has a potential to be a good popsong. You wrote something about samples. Without knowing which ones to listen for it´s not so easy, but overall it does not seem to be anything wrong with the sound. However I feel there is things to work on in the arrangement and production. It´s not so easy to sort out how the song is built with verse, bridge, chorus and instrumental parts. It will always be a matter of opinion, but I´ll try to analyze this to the best of my abilities. First of all for a pop song the song is to long. There are parts to be taken out without wrecking something. The intro is working. There is a funky guitar playing and that is cool, but It might work better going over to strumming on the verses. It can be to much to have it through the whole song. Further there is a few solo guitar fills here and there that sounds like it could fit a different song better. I know its hard, but I feel it needs a stronger chorus. Overall its a very good draft for a potential cool pop song. Keep up the good work. Stay safe ! All the best -Kris.

The samples really add some depth to the song. The arrangement is a great Synth Pop style. Drum beat is upbeat and the Toms in the chorus add some flare. Continue to experiment with synth drum sounds like the claps and Toms to match samples and keyboard sounds. Great song!

I like the way this track starts out with a nice rhythm section of guitars and piano nice mellow rhythm section of drums and bass too. This songs has an eighties flair of Belinda Carlisle and missing persons. The song has a very top 40 sound to it. It's very nicely arranged and recorded.very kool guitar solo in the bridge I also liked the way the vocals were laid down it was carefully thought out very professional.i really enjoyed listening to this track.

One of the things I enjoy most about Number One Music artists is the newfound ability to hear music from around the world by singers who I'd never have the chance to listen to otherwise. That, in itself, is a great thing. Here, with this song we've got something that starts off sounding a little like the Bee Gees meet Kylie Minogue. The vocals are fine but production/mixing could help the music which is very strong.

Somehow I feel this is NOT an original song..any how..I like The Arrangement but vocal not so much...all together gave a nice feeling but again They ( People who are The Key Holders ) are Very Hard to please and They are Very Careful ( these days ) so is always a good idea to make all Original..again I like It but They must love It in order to make something happen..I hope that You do life Concerts..is my opinion Real Gigs are the way to go... This is nice tune but I must say that Arrangement is better than vocal ( luck of energy and power) The Singer is The Person Who Make It or Break It.. so I do not think Music Publishers will be Impress on the other hand to perform Life You will need a High Caliber of Musicians ( and this is very expensive )..Music Insiders are keeping Key to the sucess so send It to Them and let's see what will happen..I wish You good luck with submissions.. And the harmonies are killer! Great job! I like how guitar is mixed behind the beautiful vocals but has a nice jazz/Motown feel. Catchy Pop Song makes me think of Summer driving to the beach with babes MM

Just another great recording from The Abbeystills grabbed me right from the start! The intro feels like a story and the chorus make the meaning of the song engaging for me. The lyrics come from the heart and touching the soul, but the whole composition is more various. The music starts of slowly with harmonically melodies played on the keys. Valentina sings with her unique voice and brings a distinctive feeling into the song. Brilliant accentuated synthie sounds in the backround bringing increasing surprise into the music. Combined sampled tunes are an extra factor what brings additionally beauty into the song. This is definitely a very good arrangement, professional mixed and mastered. A song about love and life and the development of events beyond personal control. All instruments really stand out. Overall an impressive arrangement of very talented musicians. I find it extremely good and I can see why the band is ranked #1.

Me gusta la música de esta señorita, esta empieza y se parece mucho a la música pop japonesa, después va cambiando a mejor. Por poner una pega, la parte instrumental aunque está muy bien ejecutada, creo que abusa de la decoración, esa guitarra punteada y estridente, o el sonido de imagino un teclado haciendo durante toda la canción ruidos sin sentido y que distraen de la parte melódica. Creo que menos ruidos con la instrumentación estaría mucho mejor.

Always a nice listen... The biggest compliment you can give to an artist is an easily recognizable / identifiable sonic signature.
