Tarantola is a London based Reggae-Gypsy band that comprises 3 energetic musicians who come from different corners of the world - Italy, Brasil and UK and who share their diverse musical influences to bring vibrant releases and energetic performances to international audiences. Mauro Lacandia, the main writer, hailing straight from Puglia, seeks to recreate the legend of “Taranta", (the traditional music from Salento) the spider that bites people and brings them in a state of trance which can only be cured with music, dance and love! Their shows combine high energy performances, intimate interaction with the crowd together with captivating songs that will not let your feet keep still! Tarantola presents their first 2021 single release "You Are Not Alone" belongings to a cycle of self-produced Reggae - Pop releases started in 2020 with "Stay Home" (35000 streams) and working on expanding their Spotify playlists placement, influenced by Mellow Mood, Major Lazer, Buju Banton, D. Marley mixed with elements of gypsy and world music! Tarantola has performed in many prestigious venues and festivals such as Koko supporting The Feeder, Camp Bestival, London Remixed Festival, Hootananny (Sold Out) , Arts by the River Festival (Headliners), The Scoop London (Headliners) and started to gain interest by many Reggae Blogs across different countries such as CBN, Nam-Radio, Reggae Life, Sunshine Reggae, Vintage Reggae Cafe and interviewed on RAI nationalTv in 2020!
