TG was born in Grahamstown now well known as Makhanda in the Eastern Cape. Moved to Cape Town at the age of 13. My late uncle inspired me to rap. He was also a rapper and would watch him playing beats on a cassette tape while rapping.

I then fell inlove with writing poetry and eventually started writing raps.
