Steve Armstrong

Musician
I Started playing guitar when I was 12 and went onto bass when I was 19 , My first bands were Rock influenced moving into prog rock as my playing improved. I became massively into Giddy Lee “Rush” and Stanley Clark. After yet another original band split I started playing in cover bands, playing pubs and clubs all around London, My lucky break came when a fellow musician offered me a place in the Famous 80s band Bad Manners , as a bass player, while with them I made a lot of contacts with other known 80s Two Tone bands And over time have had the pleasure to work with most of them, Bands like The Selecter and The Beat to name a couple with intense touring the globe, from New Zealand to Japan including Europe and The United Emirates. I’m now the full time bassist for The Neville Staple Band. Neville more popular for being in The Specials and later Fun Boy Three Although I love what I do , playing SKA I still have a passion for my Rock roots Hence this is why I wrote the songs you can hear on my page .
