You Matter To Me

I really like this song! As strange as it sounds, the vocal has an almost Joe Walsh sound. Really enjoyable instrumentation carries the melody along nicely. Excellent harmonies along with friendly guitar lines compliment the rhythm of the song from start to finish. Actually played it a few times to grasp what you were going for. I am a little confused though by its classification of 'country' as its genre. But then again, what is country today anyway? Whatever you tag it, it's a good song.

Review of "You Matter to Me"

Overall concept of the song is great, paying tribute to a loved you is always a special topic to write about. The introduction was soft and led into the vocals nicely. The melody had a nice flow throughout the song and the lyrics were nicely done. The singer had a very simplistic sound to his voice; which made the song work as it reflects an average guy expressing his true feelings for the one who matters to him. Nicely done.

Dreamy Memories

Timely vocals and creative lyrics make You Matter to Me matter to me. Great lead in to the chorus makes for brilliant songwriting, and the song story is perfectly fitting together with the entire process. StarPointe Records almost always never misses the mark of an enjoyable musical experience. And, yes, the band was simply amazing helping to support the lyrics.

Star

My penchant for a good introduction wasn’t disappointed here that was lovely a gently build up if anything it could have been a little lighter on the slap in the percussion but only a picky point. This is a beautiful gentle dealing with a beautiful song, what a lovely voice such a lovely tone and I take it the occasional harmonies were dealt with by the backing of the lead singer also. Such a genuine gentle rendition perfectly mastered and engineered with just the right amount of balanced effects and reverb. Loved it

Hallmark Channel Song

I had reviewed another one of your tunes .. (it had a female singer)... This is head and shoulders better than that one. So that’s a great start. The “track “ and musicianship on this is far superior to the other offering. The mix is excellent. And as the title suggests .. not sure what your market is for this tune. But I can totally see it on a movie or TV show on the Hallmark channel. The vocals had some pitch issues , but when they were in the wounded plesant. The song writing is a bit predictable and lacked sophistication..but so do95% of songs released today. Overall a good effort..especially for this site.

Old school sound!

I was pleasantly surprised by this tune. I saw it in the category of country pop but it reminded me of some of the mellower classic rock songs of Joe Walsh, especially the vocals. I found it a most enjoyable change from the harder rock I often listen to. I listened all the way to the end and wouldn't mind hearing it again. The mix was also quite interesting catching a lot of the acoustic guitar sounds and using them almost as a percussion element.
