Nu metal for a new day

The song starts with power, accented by harmonic harmonies, then a sweet intro lead. Vocals are done well and in perfect key. Singer's style reminds me of a mix between Vinnie Dombroski of Sponge and Josey Scott of Saliva. The style of the music as a whole hearkens back to early 2000's nu-metal, particularly acts like Taproot, Linkin Park, and the aforementioned Saliva. Good song structure, easy listening, and some killer guitar work make this something you'd expect to hear on the radio. If I had to offer a critique, it would be that the lyrics are not memorable, unlike the sing-along big radio hits of the day. Overall, a great tune and excellent production that stacks up well with popular music acts from the turn of the millennium.
