It’s a relic and it has hot blonde chicks

I listen to this song and watch the video. Just focusing on the song right now I think it’s a great production with killer leads and I love how the drums sound. The Bass on this song is killing it. The rhythm section really works together on this song. As for the video I like looking at old 60s sci-fi stuff anyways what makes it even better hot blonde chicks and a planet of hot blonde chicks Makes this song a five and a five

Awesome Instrumental

If you can appreciate a good instrumental, you will definitely like Eric Larson's "Relics of Time". with some obvious influence from Joe Satriani, this song starts off rockin' and doesn't stop. I really liked the guitar riffs throughout the entire song. I would put this on any rock playlist. Great song.

Really good rock energy and rhythm. Takes me back to kind of prog rock era with a harder edge and attitude. The guitar work really stands out and is super solid. I'm glad to hear this style is still out there.

Rock on.

Good start on your song. A good rock riff especially with the harmonising guitars. I lie the lead guitars as they arrange a cool pattern of harmonies driving the track away to a wandering travelling mood. A movie tune or tv track maybe. Even for a sports channel etc. Keep at it as the rock is good.

Very nice and heavy Rock composition - very well performed and well produced - For a instrumental composition the music style is kind of special - sophisticated but popular genre very well suited in Rock - Solo instruments, guitar is very well suited with arrangement which is very rich with well played instruments - In my opinion this composition have all attributes to be internationally promoted - So go for it - This is great work - Keep on and do more of this fantastic music - Thank you I enjoy...

instrumental worth a listen

Guitar driven instrumental music with a throwback feel to the 70's action movie genre. Nicely paced and very well played by someone that obviously knows their way around a fretboard. if there are any points to make it is definitely not with the composition. but maybe with where the lead guitar is placed within the mix in relation to the other instruments. Usually one would want to have the lead instrument prominently placed within the mix but at times the rhythm dominates as well as the drums. Bring the lead track a bit more forward and you have a track that belongs in any guitar players play list. Very well done.

Relic This!

One of the things I enjoy most about Number One Music artists is the newfound ability to hear music from around the world by singers who I'd never have the chance to listen to otherwise. That, in itself, is a great thing. Here, with this song a superbly crafted musical production. As mentioned before, I'd love to hear some great vocals behind this dynamic contemporary rock song that really delivers. Perhaps this is best suited for a chase scene in a major Hollywood blockbuster?!

Bop review

Here's a cool rocking sounding track by Eric larceny right off the start a very powerful intro from the bass and drums which sound exceptional and well mixed. I'm a sucker for all original instrumentals.the arrangement is very strong and put together well.the playing and the production is well in hand. The guitar parts and harmonies remind me of Steve via and Jeff beck. This song is structured well and is highly professional. Overall, I enjoyed this whole work of art definitely worth listening and putting it on your starred button. I will definitely recommend this song to my friends list.therebare so many different styles and genres of music and is really nice to hear the music being spread throughout the music community

Not Bad

This is an ok piece of instrumental music. I could see this being used in a movie or TV show. Good bass and drum playing. Very modern and contemporary guitar sound. The only thing I don't like about this song is the length. It is too long, like a lot of the songs on numberonemusic. The trick to writing a good song is to leave the listener wanting more, instead of wondering when it is going to end which is how I feel when I listen to most of the songs on numberonemusic. But this is not a bad effort.

Love to Rock

Great groove from the very start. Great tone on the guitars, good mix on the drums. So it's an instrumental? OK, we can rock with that. If that's the case, it would help to have a driving melody line, which should be easy to find. That way all these great instruments can get behind the groove of it. Don't give up, you're on to something great here. Best of luck!

Perfect traveling music for long drives!

If you enjoy instrumental music or prog rock of any sorts then this is the type of music for you. A taste of Joe Satriani, Shawn Lane, Eric Johnson, Vinnie Moore and dream theater all combined together to make this phenomenal music here. This is here is the perfect driving music and what I would have in my CD player traveling from the SF bay area to LA while traveling down Interstate 5! Would love to hear more of what Eric Larsen has to offer!

Cool premise for the song

I like this it grabs you, the bass line is awesome, as is the guitar and drums. You have effectively captured the sixties on the sound, but actually improved it!! That's creative and outstanding! While I'd love to know the movie, that's not so relevant because you created a soundscape that speaks to different scenes, with the sound variations, and "scenes" you created in they musical work. I was just at a meeting with Mike Post (Google him) who is the top dog of all TV composers, and what you have done is exactly what he spoke of and does in his various musical pieces for a plethora of TV shows spanning several decades. Keep up the good work!

Relics of time review

Eric Larson's Relics of Time is an instrumental Rock Rhapsody reminiscent of '80s progressive rock featuring highly creative explosive guitar riffs and solos that take the listener on a musical Odyssey. A traditional guitar bass drums outfit he hits that exciting mark of climax with plenty of catchy Blues licks and Van Halen style tapping..

Relics of Time review

Since the video is not available on this site, I will only write a review of the music. Let me start by saying, I love it! The quality of the playing is top notch and the arrangement of the song flows from start to finish. In today's market, it's hard to get anyone to listen to a song longer than 3 to 3 1/2 minutes. But your classic progressive style keeps the listener interested and waiting for the next minute of the composition. The mix was excellent and the instrumentation blends well together from start to finish. Quite honestly, I can't find anything to suggest to you to make it any better. Excellent job! Keep playing and writing...

exciting is an understatement

Eric Larsen has done it again with “Relics of Time”. It starts right off kicking tail with drive you can feel from the first note. The chord changes are exciting with an occasional bridge that can only be defined as amazing. Each verse is unique to itself and there is no shortage of creative expression in this music. The solos are ripping it up yet still ads to the rhythm. How many fingers does this guy have? Eric chose to end the song gently and uses the last few bars to wind us down. After the song ends, I am still sitting here with my heart racing and out of breath. Thanks Eric for letting us all know we’re still alive.
