Excellent quality on the recording. Guitar Tone and playing Very Good. Good musicianship all around. The song has a good groove and flows well from beginning to end. Drums and Bass are mixed in perfect.

OK, OK... So you have a guitar message and you can't wait to get it out. I dig it. Great guiar licks, sounds like there's more than one but they work around each other just inside the parameters of where both are going. By the time it reaches full circle, it feels mostly inense and mean, but then it gets smooth for just long enough to take off again. Some really hot flayors working here. Keep up the good work.

One of the things I enjoy most about Number One Music artists is the newfound ability to hear music from around the world by singers who I'd never have the chance to listen to otherwise. That, in itself, is a great thing. Here, with this song it starts with a sound that makes it originate from a deep dark cave underneath the earth. Pure 70's rock here and it delights with both the simplicity and complexity of the performance.

This is industrial instrumental, rock/ metal with a little hint of Bollywood / Indian music. I dig the Rhythm section of the bass and drums and rhythm guitar. The lead guitars scream And shred to perfection. The production to my ears is Grade A and killer. The music is well written and orchestrated. It takes you everywhere. I gave this track a five out of five very excellent song.

I like the originality of your work. Strong message and creativity is a big plus. Good production, I can hear some good vocals to this, good job on the final mix-down. 6 minutes full of the finest guitar playing - a bit like Wishbone Ash on Speed, even though the parallel parts are not so dominating here, they rather seem to happen accidentally, although I believe that not one single tone is played by accident. This is all very very precise and done with love to the detail, and it sounds simply great. Only thing I'd like to mention is the restless and wriggly drum pattern. I'd have preferred something more straight and less complicated. There is so much to listen to in these 6 minutes that sometimes the drums seem a bit disturbing to me. But that is of course whining at a high level.

This song is very good. It has examples of alot of different rock styles all laid across a recurring theme. Lots of great examples of advanced instrumental techniques from all the band members. Well co-ordinated and produced effort. Doing songs like this requires alot of discipline and Shepards Ryde shows that on this recording. The only thing that I find problematic is the overwhelming presence of the bass guitar and bass drum as I think it overpowers on most of the song. I hope to hear more songs from this band as I find this kind of music very entertaining.

Cool! Very good listening experience here, all the parts were interesting and dynamic, I like where the song took me as I zoned out to it. The lead playing was tasteful and not overly indulgent, just the right amount of playing soulfully while still putting on an impressive display of prowess. Nicely done! :D

Upon your very first listen to the fantastic "Sacrifice" by Shepard's Ride, you can not help but be impressed by the exceptional; songwriting, musical performances and inspired production. While the musical influences of Shepard's Ride are quite evident, they undoubtedly have achieved a sound that is highly individualistic. Highly recommended, looking forward to hearing more!

OMG, where do I begin? Instrumental Rock is a very difficult genre to get right but Shepard's Ride has got what it takes. This song, Sacrifice, in a more or less a kind of one key/one note song, which, in and of itself in any genre is hard to pull off. Yet, the band manages to keep your interest for an entire 6 minutes - a remarkable accomplishment. Todd, Marco, and Eric combine forces of masterful skill and composition to create a constant movement and interest. Eric's guitar style reminds me of Jeff Beck only much "heavier" in his approach. He makes the guitar sing. The drums, bass and percussion/drums provide a raw, sustainable driving force behind the guitars. Overall, this team is top notch in their songwriting, instrumentation prowess, and "ear candy" for "Sacrifice." Five Stars!

Once again Shepard’s Ryde has shown us complete mastery of the guitar with the song “Sacrifice”. Not just the guitar, but also the composition, the mix and signal processing; all perfect. Those skills do not come easily. How does one keep balls to the wall smooth? And warm?? It takes more than skill; it also takes creativity, talent and patience.
