“I Saw Her Today…” is a real-life account of an encounter with the girlfriend of a man I was seeing. She approached me while I was at a jam session and asked me about my involvement with “her guy”. I wrote the song as a way to heal from the experience. Each time I performed the song I healed a bit more. When recording this song, I had to tap into the initial experience to make sure I was singing as authentically as possible, so hearts would be reached.
