Scott Seefluth Biography

The summer of 1967 was the summer the love of music took off for Scott. Scott Seefluth was 10 years old and had just gotten his first drum set that didn’t include cardboard boxes. He had a small band of other friends and they got their first taste of performing, appearing on a local TV show called The Uncle Jay Show in Austin, Texas changed it all for him. He was hooked.
Scott practiced along with his sister’s music collection featuring Herb Albert and the Tijuana Brass, Herman’s Hermits, and many others, and along with his mother while she played the organ. Scott was influenced by Bad Company, Deep Purple, The Allman Brothers and of course The Beatles. His first band, Desert Star, performed around the western Ohio area where the family had moved while Scott was in high school . After graduation, music stopped for awhile, while he served in the United States Air Force from 1977 to 1981.
In 1982 Talon was formed in Dayton, Ohio, with Scott on drums, with his brother Ted playing guitar and singing. Les Berta on bass guitar, and Brett Parker on lead guitar rounded the band out perfectly. They played at Wright State University, and at many local bars around Dayton and southwest Ohio. Scott learned to write music during these days and became a prolific songwriter. Talon ended in 1985 after a good run, and all the members remain friends to this day.
Between 1985 and 2010 the music in Scott’s life was as a club DJ and radio DJ. In 2010 that all changed. He moved to Vermont and started playing again. Truly a one-man band. Scott now plays drums, guitar, lead and bass. He does all the vocals and composed and wrote all the music. In 2014 he released Self Determination. This was an instrumental album that moves and motivates.
Currently he is working on a new album and his first release is called “Just Gotta Do It”, an amazing song that motivates and speaks to all that listen. He looks forward to his next releases soon to come. He hopes you all enjoy.
