December is here... Almost time for the SOLSTICE! HELLO and HOPE YOU ARE FEELING GOOD... WISHING YOU A SAFE AND HEALTHY HOLIDAY SEASON!!... Throughout the pandemic things have changed so drastically it's difficult to recognize the beautiful city of my birth. In the early days of covid, there were literally NO PEOPLE on the streets and that is quite amazing considering there are 17 million people who live and work here and 8 million who live actually live here. Jazz is a music that doesn't have all the bells and whistles of energetic electric rhythms and svelte dancers gliding all over the stage. It's a music that is subtle, and even though emotional the harmonic beauty of chord progressions and delicate lyrics make it a music for the people who appreciate timeless swing and music that is complex and invigorating.
