Samuel Burns was born in Clairton Pa. he grew up in a small steel town Braddock Pa. where he became interested in music at a early age played the Trombone and was playing in his High School Band from the 8th grade to the time he graduated it was there he developed a love for the Performing Arts he began playing in a local Band Called Earl T And The Jesters Playing events all around the Pittsburgh area while attending Pittsburgh Technecal Ins in In Sept of (expired link) Group decided to go to Detroit and shop for a record deal and faceing the hardship of discontent the group decided that it would go back home to Pittsburgh and regroupe but for three of it's members Jerry Benzo the drummer Josef Morris the Trumpet player and Sam Burns it's Trombone Player Sam got a Job at a local Factory and began to play all around the Detroit Area and got a audution to sit in with a world renown groupe called The Detroit Emeralds at Henrys coctail lounge and the groue liked what they heard and Hired Sam as a Trombone player for its backing groupe called The AJ Sparks Conspiracy which was later changed to Chapter 8 in 1974 Sam toured with the Emerals all over the United States and Europe for 2 years and the group decided to go in another direction and began backing another Detroit Groupe Called The Fantastic Four with The Hit Record Alvin Stone The Birth And Death Of A Gangster the group toured with the Fantastic Four for a year and started backing other' Groupes Like Sam And Dave Joe Simon The Floaters The Dells and then decided to Try it on their Own and Hired a lead singer Rick Means and for the first time a female singer named Carolyn Crawford and began Playing local Night Clubs Carolyn left the groupe in 1977 and was replaced by a little known singer named Anita Baker and Rick means was replaced by Gerald Lyles with all the changes Sam Burns Left the Group and began perforoming with a groupe Called The (expired link) Band Managed by The Ledganary Johny Mae Mathews the Groupe had imediate success with the Hit The Long Stroke in 1978 Sam recorded and toured with the group for a year and in 1979 setteled down and got married and performed locally around Detroit and Produced local Groupes, in 1984 while producing a local Groupe called Personality Plus was able to get a booking contract with Lorio & Ross and began performing in the northern parts of Michigan Travis City and Petoski and Gaylord the groupe achived great success but the Deman for Sam to be a Father and a Husband took its toll and Sam started a Towing Bussiness to support his family and started working in Auto Factorys around Detroit after 20 years in the Factorys Sam's Factory went out of bussiness and Sam Has returned to his musical Roots and began writing and recording again his first single A Rock and A Hard Placed is out and playing on internet Radio and the New single The Stank is also Playing on internet Radio Sam and his Wife are writing and singing and the sky is the limit
