Pleasantly Surprised

The way this artist started out, left me expecting one thing, and then I was generously endowed with something totally beautiful and drive instead.A great blues feel, and if you have four minutes of time to spare, give your attention to Robbie Banks for two of them, and you'll love what you hear!

Well done!

I like everything about this song. First of all, it's a subject I think we can all relate to. "Now you're gone, what am I supposed to do?" Been there. The big hurt. Instrumentally, you nailed it. The mood totally fits the subject matter. It has a dark feel. The short electric guitar riffs are simple but effective in hammering home the feeling, one of despair and hopelessness. I feel you, Robbie, I feel you. I will definitely be checking out more of your music.

Now You're Gone

So much feeling is delivered in this track. The rocking drums and bluesy style guitar melody are great and keep the track in top gear. The vocal performance has a deliverance quality and solid harmonies. The screaming vocals into the guitar solo are a stand out moment for me. The moment when the stuff hits the fan followed by a release of wtf !!!!!! Really cool track that is worthy of your time.

Now You're Gone

Hiya Robbie, many thankx for asking me to review your song - and what a great song it is. I especially enjoyed the guitar intro, great tone, sound and playing. I really liked the crescendo build ups in the song, as they worked perfectly by setting the mood and tone variances. The drumming was also nice, it set a good drive. The vocals were also very good, and nicely in key through all the mood/tempo changes. The bass playing was nice and subtle, but still drove the song along nicely. I personally would have liked the ending to have faded out, the end was a tad too abrupt for me, but. overall, this is a minor thing in a very cool, and enjoyable song. Well done, this is a great song, keep up the good work.

Rock n Roll from the Heart !!

A smooth intro and a great rock/blues lead guitar lick pulls the listener in, it also is precisely played throughout the song. Robbie Banks shows true lyrical emotion while maintaining his rock n roll style with a touch of the blues on Now You're Gone. This song has a very well executed melodic rock build up displaying and showcasing his songwriting skills. A must listen on N1M !!

I enjoyed this!

Nice drumming and guitar work in the intro. I like the emotion that comes through in the vocal performance. It sounds especially good when the harmony comes in the chorus. I think you were correct to cut out some of the verses. Four and a half minutes seems just the right length for this song. I really like the overall sound. It comes across like a professional recording. The recurring guitar licks are quite understated and melodic. It takes its place right there with the vocal line. Very nice!

Potential

Hi there, Robbie. This tune has indeed what it takes to become a true hit. I think the chorus is strong and sound, maybe a little to short, but very nice all the same. You should for sure get in touch with a producer for a second saying before the final mix, and you also need to get some reverb on those guitars. That would make a world of difference. Your voice is strong and cool throughout the whole track, but I think you will have to call in some outside help to get it to the next level. Cheers from Norway

Review of 'Now You're Gone'

This track opens with a heavy live sounding crashing drum beat, then a delicate guitar riff....slowly the song builds and the main distorted guitar comes in. The vocals are very Neil Young sounding, with a good recording quality. There's a good riff interspersed that I like. I'm not 100% sure about the mix on the verses, maybe things could be changed up a bit and bring the drums down the the backing guitars up a touch....but that's just my taste. Once it gets going, it's a howling good track with a great vocal and interestingly emotional sound....love it, another good one from Robbie!

Nice emotional vibes

Robbie Banks "Now you're gone" sounds very emoitional, and has a bit of singer, songwriter touch to it. But with hard driving drums forcing the song to go straight forward it gets more like alternative rock. The voice has a unique character transferring emoitions well. The accoustic guitars sound very cris and well. All in all it's a well produced song with potential for radio airplay.

Robbie Banks' "Now You're Gone" Boasts a Well Balanced, Solid Foundation with Subtle, Loose Imperfections

The song begins with an excellent lead in that captures a solid guitar performance. Once the vocals began, I lost a little bit of interest, but was able to focus on the strength of its melodic foundation. The overall composition doesn't come off as one that strives for vocal perfection, so the fact that the vocals were quite pitchy, doesn't ruin the song's overall quality. It's primary strong points however, lay in the coalescent instrumentation.

"Now You're Gone" A rock ballad bomb!

Really cool instrumentation. The lyrics are very decisive and the vocal draws you in. Love the drum intro it makes you want to keep listening. The acoustic is a great touch, however (in my opinion) I would maybe use the electric guitar fro the strums at the beginning. I think it would add a nice dynamic.
