Diversified recording

Melodious piano accompainment and just a few additional instrumentation are anough for a good song. The various original drum-parts are detailed played and an extra factor what make the song more engaging for me. All the way from stanza to the chorus are accompained by fastidious acoustic-guitar and some harmonically melodies of the keys coming at the right time. The chorus encapsulating deep feelings for the beloved. The romantic passion of the lyrics coming from the heart. Contemporary tunes of the seventies with a groovy keyboard solo what´s seldom to hear in the end. But why do I tell this? This song is an original and I´m sure you will likewise add.

Catchy and relevent for the time

I enjoyed listening to this and I'm impressed knowing that you wrote and performed this at the tender age of 15. We are in the same age bracket and I know I would have enjoyed listening and most likely dancing to this song. I like it a lot! I'm wondering if you had any success or if this was a one shot deal. I'll check out more of your stuff now. Nice. Thanks.

Richie Rich

I guess it is easy to play a cliche descending line. Another love song, we don't really need any more, do we? Especially with that descending line in 6/8. But with the synth blues line coming in, it makes interesting as the two chords of major and minor battle it out. It's fun to listen to. Hope to hear more songs from Richie with extended chords and new structures.

VERY PLEASANT, HAPPY VIBE!!!

This is a very enjoyable, kick your shoes off, walk in the sand, song. It is obvious you know how to master a melody that is singable and memorable. This song reminds me of the Guess Who. Curious about their influence over your writing, especially that electric piano. ( Do I hear a Moog in there???) Kudos, for writing this. Good songs are timeless, however, you know this sounds like it came out of the era you wrote it in... Not telling you anything you don't know and I am not going to tell you what you coulda, woulda, shoulda, done on the recording. It is done. However, if you are thinking of re-recording it and updating the sound, it is a worthy song to revive. It is a solid work. Great singable melody with a great and memorable hook. It makes me want to hear more of your work. You know what you are doing. Blessings, ana

Reminds me of my childhood

50 years ago I was 8 years old, and when naively searching for some good tunes in my uncle's vinyl records collection I remember I found songs that sounded like yours. Gives me some nostalgic and romantic memories at once. On the other side, when thinking back to the first songs I wrote myself in the age of 15 I have to admit that they were much worse than yours. Well, compared to todays highly polished productions your song is not really mastered; I have to turn up the volume quite a bit. But that's only technical. Emotionally I got touched by your tune, and you've got some interesting chord sequences in your composition as well. From todays perspective it sounds old-fashioned, but to me it is very authentic. A song from a different era, but still a good song. Respect.

good vibes

Hi mr Hoffman. Here's my review. Good intro. Good parametre, the change of rythm is nice. Good instrumentation: Really talented musicians. And you..., ow yeah, you, you have a unique voice... I like the mellotron sound. Question: You must have played with well-known american musicians, no ? Shoot: It's always nice to hear your intriguing music... BUT... about this song... try to repeat the chorus near the end of the song, AND, actually, but that's subjective, it would have been better if you'd created a fade out at the end of the song... Still: Your music ENFLAMES me... Haha. Cheers X

Great track!

Hi Richie. Love the track. Very commercial. only suggestions are, cut the keyboard end section to 2 bars, keep the very end filler, but use it to launch a last chorus. To me, it'd complete the track and tighten it up. Well done, though.

Yes please

Richie I must admit I like your style you play with the melody and instruments like it’s your own and the lyrics is grabbing to any audience listening. The way you change the melody is a true gift that I’m sure takes time to master but I’m definitely enjoying it the music behind this track is very much fun and enjoyable enough to embrace the lucky audience that would be engaging with it keep up the good work pal

15 to 50 = 5

As an early author at age 15, Ricky present yous a mature mindset about lovre that trends today with a west coast vintage vibe that makes yrou want to spin a record and spin around under the sun with flowers in your hair. Well constructed. In fact, this reviewer would definitely agree to a co-write or future Collab.

Feel good vintage sounding song!!!

Yes!!! This is such a feel good song!!! I really enjoy the 60's/70's old school sounds. This song reminds me of bands like the Eagles, Beatles & even the Doors. The key solo is really tasty and authentic to this style. The overall production is tight. I like how the drums are sitting in the mix, they are full, present and makes me feel like I'm in the studio with you all. I enjoy your voice, the doubling of your vocals fits the style well. Looking forward to hearing more music from you!

Bel cambio

Right up there with the sixties bands!

Love your song Richie, it is beautiful! Wow, this should be on the radio with all other sixties songs. Manfred Mann, The Beach Boys, The Beatles, Bread, all rolled into one. The change in tempo, the organ part, all of it is just great. You could do a re-recording maybe? Get a young guy to give it a modern feel. I believe the song works with that. Well, I think it deserves to be on playlists and all these special programs where sixties music is highlighted. Great stuff!

Review by JD Richards

My apology for being so delayed in writing this. Clever tempo change. Lyrically predictable. The tracks generate a good vibe and the melody shows imagination. It was a good listen. I played your song all the way through twice. Very haunting feel. The piano could spacially recorded ad the bass volume brought up. In a few bars the musical track seemed a little busy but from a songwriter standpoint this is a keeper.t

In My Opinion

Greetings, Thank you for choosing me to review your work, I count it an honor to be included in such a task. My hat is off to you and anyone willing to step out and share their gift, talent and love of music to the public. Be it a musician, singer, song writer, actor and so-on. I myself, via 40 some years of experience in the fields, on the road, in the studio, radio, TV, video, and management, consider myself to be a seasoned musician, singer, song writer, studio-sound tech/engineer/ owner/operator, stage manager, find it sometimes hard/difficult and perhaps not even fair to sit in a seat, voicing My Opinion concerning another's creative efforts. Especially in certain genres of music I am not all that familiar with concerning very important elements that make up and meet the required standards to justify the various levels of ratings and grades. So, in saying ALL that, I will limit myself to MY Opinion concerning the quality of the work according to My ears, and the standards I have been familiarized with thru-out the years. I hold to the old - saying " Beauty Is In The EAR of The Beholder ... LOL. The sound quality of the recording over-all is very crisp and bright and clear, I really enjoyed the message and energy in this song.Think about your music solo break to center of the work to step away from vocals for a short period in future works. But, I did find it a nice touch as an extended finish. Vocals are smooth and natural, sort of - down to earth as they say, and extremely peaceful. The mix levels let me know who was still in charge of this song. Very easy to sit back and listen to. I mean no offense in any part, I myself take all feedback and use it as a tool toward my next project. I pray you feel the same way. Either way, I say to you, keep doing what you do, keep kicking and enjoying what you do. I tell folks all the time for many years. When it stops being FUN, then it's time to stop, and stand back and think about what we are doing, why we are doing it, how we are doing it, what we and others are getting out it. Is it what we want, and how we want it. IF NOT. what are willing to do from there? Thank you again for asking MY OPINION. Johnny

Pleasant sound

This good song has a traditional begin, fast 60s, which seems ironic and romantic at the same time. I think that this old song is a pleasant ballad, which could be a contemporary sound too.
