In late February of 2003 I received a phone call from a US Army Major with orders for me to leave my home in New York within two weeks and board a flight to Iowa. I was ordered to report to the 389th Engineer BN, Alpha Company US Army. My wife was 8 months pregnant at the time and my Mother was very sick. I returned to my home in New York 16 months later. After I returned home from IRAQ I was stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, MO I was able to fly home on leave for the filming of this Channel 21 TV Special.
