After 30 yrs in radio West Coast Radio was created in 2008 online by Reverend St John in order to persue a dream to have a radio station that was uncensored and allowing him to bring radio entertainment to the world without censorship by station owners, program directors and the FCC.
*Rev operates West Coast Radio alone and gets no monies from the station. In short - the station does not bring in money and Rev pays 'out-of-pocket' the fees for internet and such to keep the station on the air.
Rev is also Disabled and on SSI. He pays his bills, rent, lights, food etc., etc., and that leaves very little to provide for and keep West Coast Radio online.

Besides playing the best possible classic rock for WCR's listeners, West Coast Radio also gives him the freedom to promote new unheard of bands across the country that can't get airplay on local stations because of playlist restrictions created by radio stations and their owners in order to promote their advertised commercial goods to a targeted audience.
There are hundreds of great bands that deserve airplay and radio promotion that local radio just wont add to their playlist or promote.
West Coast Radio does that NOW for several bands through airplay of their songs, online promoting posts, Spotlight shows and interviews with band members that is heard world wide!

West Coast Radio also deems it's listening audience as it's "family" and wishes to be there whenever possible to help in any way possible through air mention, promotions or funding to help "family members" that are in need.

West Coast Radio doesn't merely want to be the best classic rock station ever, it also wishes to be a resourceful asset to it's listeners and family.
