The song flows!

Well, the first thing we thought was, yay! we can tell what they are singing! There are so many songs out there that you just can't tell what is being sung because they mumble their words or the vocal isn't up enough in the mix. This this ticks all the vocal boxes. The song swings along nicely and is very catchy - the rhythm section does that brilliantly and you feel your foot tapping without even thinking about it. The vocal harmonies are really well sung and not over-done. Over-all a song you listen to right to the end because you enjoy it! Good song, well written, well played and well sung!

Away Away Again Again

One of the things I enjoy most about Number One Music artists is the newfound ability to hear music from around the world by singers who I'd never have the chance to listen to otherwise. That, in itself, is a great thing. Here, with this song it's categorized as Rock, Pop Rock and Rap. I'm finding it's none of these at all. Perhaps adult contemporary or folk, but rap? Come on. Regardless, the harmonies are pleasant and would be something I'd expect in an 80's Rom Com.

A very catchy tune!

This song is a very catchy song! It's jumpy and light, and yet, the subject matter of the lyrics is very important and contemporary, concerning current events. The artist says it was written in 2020, which was the height of the pandemic, and so again, the subject matter is serious and yet the melody and instrumentation is light. That's actually a very difficult thing to do and the artist pulled it off very well I might add! I highly recommend this song to everyone. It's a fun and easy listening type song as well, and bound to show up on your favorites list! It was my pleasure to do this review. Tommy Marcinek

Kind of like the Bangles

I like the harmonies. It really works well. I think it should have a little more drums, so that a person can feel the beat just a little more. It also helps to hear the vocals bertter, if done right and not overpowering,. I really like the bridge. It's original, goes along with the basic feel and opens really well for the guitar solo which is also nice, compact and perfectly flowing, Best of luck, I really like the song

It’s been awhile since I was asked to do a review, and I was pleasantly surprised when the Remerge Band requested a review of their ditty “2020 LAmEnt (Away Away).” These two talented ladies have produced a pop masterpiece which overviews the year 2020. One would think that with this in mind, it would be a real downer of a song, but the very opposite is true. The song explodes from the speakers with the instrumental introduction, and at the perfect time the vocals begin. The first thing I heard was Siouxsie Sioux, very strong with bass-like undertones (and I swear I hear an English accent). The drums (I hear Roger Taylor from Duran Duran here - superb) are very strong and keep the song in time. As mentioned in other reviews, there is no major bass-line, but don’t get your knickers in a knot, “When Doves Cry” also had no bass-line, so when your following Prince’s principles, you’re doing okay in my book. I love the layered & compressed vocal on the stanzas, and then the double tracked voice on the very Bangles influenced chorus. Some other reviewers have heard the Go Go’s, but I think the song is much more along the complexity of the Bangles, although only in sound and production, and not Susanna Hoffs voice. I love the subtle bridge from the stanzas to the chorus. The construction of the song is nothing short of brilliant, and I love the additional bridge near the end, and the very subtle guitar solo. Other reviewers have heard 60’s in this tune, but I hear none of that, this uber positive song is purely a child of the 80’s, dripping with the influences of both the Beatles and Cheap Trick. For the length of the song at four minutes and twenty-seven seconds it moves very quickly and it’s over before you know it. The two major points in this song are the in-your-face vocals/mix/beat and then the subtle use of backing vocals and acoustic guitar. The ending of the song totally reminds me of both “Melancholy Rose” and “Ruby Red” by Marc Almond (Soft Cell) the way the song and vocals wind down. I also checked out the video on YouTube, and it’s a great accompaniment to the song. Well done. “2020 LAmEnt (Away Away)” is Top 40 ready, and is an excellent example of what the Remerge Band is capable of. These girls are headed to the future, and the future is now!

Well produced song. Very catchy hook and use of rhythms. Love the current day references and thoughts. I like that it stays true to the style of writing, kind of 60's vibe. Great vocals and harmonies throughout. The drum sound is not my favorite but it's okay. All in all a great track! Nice job!

Upon your very first listen to "2020 LAmEnt (Away Away)" from Florida, USA based band Remerge Band - you cannot help but to be deeply impressed by the performance, production and general musical sensibilities by Remerge Band. While their musical influences are quite evident, they have done a wonderful job of creating their own unique sound. Looking forward to hearing more from this terrific band!

Vibes!!!

I like the originality of your work. Strong message and creativity is a big plus. Good production, I can hear some good vocals to this, good job on the final mix-down. I can tell you have your heart and soul into what you do. Keep on pushing and never give up or get distracted in pursuing the dream of making it. I like the instrumental blend of sounds with some vocals and the production on the track is good. Keep up the great work! Peace!!!

ENTRATA DOLCE

Indie Pop Song in 60s Style

Remerge must be a slang term, because in the dictionary I only found "reemerge".The carefree and often 60s-influenced song writing with a good smooth touch. The mix is very good, a clear sound with a tender relatiability that's hard to shun. And while their music has undoubtedly a touching moment. The song is radio friendly produced. I would make a variation in the verse, where line one and line two are the same.

Sparse - in need of depth

Listening to this song, I was immediately struck by the fact that there was little action in the bottom end - the drums are mixed very politely and there is no bass line to anchor the song. This makes the lea voice (which is perfectly fine) a little stranded and predominant. This may not be a fault if that is what the original intention of the arranger wanted, but, to me, the voice only works when there is the back voxes helping out. It also gives the song an added texture. It's a very clean production and, if that's what was the intention, is satisfactory - I feel, however, that a little more arrangement and a little more instrumentation would benefit the song no end. I know the predominant mode nowadays is "sparse" but my advice, if required, would be to rearrange the song to include at least a bass element. It could develop into a very good song with a little more polish.

Bop review

This is a cool top 40 pop folk rock song, can’t help notice the harmonies remind me of the go gos from the nineteen eighty’s the song has a fresh sound of a well engineered song. Nice rhythm section simple but sweet as the guitars and other instrumentations are well arranged. Very nice vocals and harmonies as well. This song could be spinning in radio stations all over. Again great song and good luck.
