Paul Keeley

Bassist

Paul has been playing bass for over 20 years in a variety of bands and in a range of styles. He spent much of the 90's touring Britain & Europe, and regularly appearing on TV, while in the Bournemouth based funk-rock band Funkabubble. Following this he spent time as a session player in London and built up his "studio tan" producing and writing digital music. After spending a few years away from the live music circuit he is well and truly back and loving playing more than ever. Paul's lifelong love of jazz has resulted in an enormous collection of rare vinyl that continues to grow at an alarming rate - Coltrane & Monk being his favourites this week!! He is very much looking forward to adding some seriously funky bottom end grooves to the Red Embers sound.

Daryl Ford

Pianist

Daryl joins Red Embers bringing a wealth of experience and talent to the band. Daryl has spent years honing his craft, leading his own bands and bringing his own creative stamp on Jazz to the local and UK jazz world.

Craig Wilson

Guitarist

Craig has been playing guitar, bass and piano for over 20 years and has played in many different acts and situations including musical theater tribute bands, original bands, function bands and session work. Originally inspired by the classic rock genre, Craig found Jazz to be the musical avenue he had been looking for to diversify and explore the world of creative improvisation and a musical discipline that pushes you to the practical and theoretical limits. That and really liking the music :)... Playing in Red Embers has been a breath of fresh musical air and an inspiration. Playing alongside such talented musicians can only inspire !!! Craig is currently studying a degree in music and is looking forward to 2013/14 being the most "Emberistic" of years.

Alice Rowberry

Vocalist

Alice has been performing as a vocalist for 10 years. She first found her feet when she slipped comfortably into her musical theater shoes showing great tonality, technique and rhythm, displaying controlled and professional performances from a young age.Alice went onto study a degree in popular music, and during her final year she discovered her love for jazz, influenced by the song stylings of Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday she focused on defining the different techniques and control needed, in order to adapt her tone, style and overall performance. She loves to strut her stuff with the accomplished Red Embers instrumentalists, showing flexibility to adapt to improvisation giving something different in every performance. This girl means business!!
