A Funny Ode to Materialism (Almost)

"Give Me That Money Honey" is a blast of pure, unadulterated fun, just like its title suggests. The stripped-down arrangement, featuring just drums and vocals, is a clever choice that keeps the interest high. It perfectly complements the simple melody, which, while not groundbreaking, is quite catchy. However, the vocals hold the song back from reaching its full bubblegum pop potential. While the off-kilter delivery can add to the song's charm in a quirky way, tightening up the pitch would elevate it to radio-ready status. Here's the magic formula: keep the stripped-down, high-energy arrangement, polish the vocals, and this song could be a sugary-sweet earworm blasted into airwaves.

buon ritmo

Helpful

Brave attempt

I hear where you want to go, but it needs much refinement. Perhaps some track separation, some attention to Eq, healthy dose of compression, and go for a big sound. there is a nice idea hear but it's getting lost. A little pitch correction would also assist here. All a all not a bad attempt, but need to spend more time on production quality if you want to pitch it. All the best with it.

Funkiest recording with great idea ! Can't keep still !

I write my review when listening. Opening...wow...what funky sound! I stopped after 5 seconds to process this. This alone would make me give 5 stars...(let's start again ;-). Fuck (did I say fuck?), cannot help it...would put this in a loop if I could immediately. Where's my Cubase...That sound ! I have a problem to get past these first seconds...yummy bassdrum and snare...my body moves immediately...the lead makes it a little messy maybe because of the backing vocal panning...vocal arrangement needs to be worked out more perfectly with panning and room, to make it one perfect vocal group. It has to be cleaner. Too much distortion on the lead voice makes it a less experience. But the idea...100%....great and funky...Can't keep my head still...Try to make a remix for the vocals...Try to experiment with clean recorded vocals so you can put the fx on them afterwards and remix as you see fit...Experiment...I enjoyed this, simple chorus with words I can remember! Advice: Listen to Beach Boys and maybe Stevie Wonder for reference...Distortion and saturation does not always make it better...Thank you for this song...
