Great!

I don't have much too say, which is good :D I think you have a beautiful timber and the melody is very catchy and various. I think that it's a song suitable to be listened worldwide and nothing less than the ones that the radio broadcasts. I think you've done an amazing work and I wish you can make your dreams come true! keep it up!!, Ciao by an Italian singer-songwriter :) Alessandra

Little room to breathe review

I really enjoyed this song today that you recorded. You have a very unique vocal style that has a large audience appeal worldwide. I feel you have the song and my only suggestion would be to take it to a producer/engineer that could make it all 'pop'. Keep writing more like this and best of luck!

RtB Review

It was refreshing to be able to hear and understand the lyrics. Rebecca has a nice clear true voice, sings with emotion, and does justice to the subject matter. I recommend this to give a listen to a young person's point of view, of something important to them, at their stage of life. An honest and fair perspective, IMO.

Girl you're great. Lyrically, vocally, a nice push in your overall approach. I like the echo in your voice. You can get away with the simple beauty of music. Don't let anyone tell you you're not good enough. You have your own thing going on; that's when this happen.

passionate and authentic

Rebecca Boux's recording of "Room to Breathe" (original song, acoustic version) has an interesting start, percussion dissolving into acoustic rhythm guitar and solo voice. The song deals with a young woman's thoughts and emotions as she struggles to process the implications of a fight with her boyfriend. The voice is strong, clear, high, and agile, with strong stylings. Most impressive is how authentic, passionate, honest, and from-the-heart it comes across. From a production standpoint, there is too much reverb, especially on the lead vocal. I would love to hear this just raw, like the emotions it expresses. Looking forward to hearing more from this artist.

Room to Breathe by Rebecca Boux. Review by Accoustic lounge Freaks

A beautiful silky vocal with acoustic guitar driving it along. A love song full of emotion and a well structured piece. Go girl, it sounds great and reaches out to many people who may have been in a relationship that they find leaves them little room to breathe. With strength but a hint of delicacy in the vocals this is a well presented and stylish pop song enjoyed by us. Happened across this review request, gotta admit It interested me first mostly because I saw where the artist location was in BC, Canada and I recently begun streaming that tv show on Hulu called “Alone” set in that area(Vancouver Island) with survivalists left there to live off the land, crazy interesting TV . ...Anyway, enough bout that, This song has huge potential in my opinion, the artist voice and lyrical content is very strong, especially for what appears to be a young singer. I’d make a few minor production suggestions if given the opportunity , though I’m not a producer, I’ve recorded w/ a few in my younger band years. I know the echo effect(beginning verses) is cool to mess with but it’s a bit too much. Voice is plenty good enough to not warrant distractions like that. Touch of reverb and hint of echo on that Vocal track over acoustic guitar should be more then sufficient and good to go. The more it sounds natural, like in a small live room with just a singer playing the guitar, stripped down, the better. especially with an artist that has a good, strong voice and well written song behind it, like this track. Messing with effects is fun, guilty of it myself, but acoustic songs are usually better left sounding honest and true to sound. I personally try to hide my voice behind effects because, well, I don’t have a singers voice, never been a singer. Just a guitarist, songwriter forced to sing out of necessity... But with a good natural singing voice, like this, keep in real. If you reproduce it and want a more pop sounding approach, can always add other instruments, ect... to track and effects on those For that more modern pop feel.

Song Review

Real good music mix. The voice is very good. A little place for spaces for instrumentals only would possibly give the song a additional feel that may increase, the audience like. The harmonics are very good.

In MY Opinion

Greetings, Thank you for choosing me to review your work, I count it an honor to be included in such a task. My hat is off to you and anyone willing to step out and share their gift, talent and love of music to the public. Be it a musician, singer, song writer, actor and so-on. I myself, via 40 some years of experience in the fields, on the road, in the studio, radio, TV, video, and management, consider myself to be a seasoned musician, singer, song writer, studio-sound tech/engineer/ owner/operator, stage manager, find it sometimes hard/difficult and perhaps not even fair to sit in a seat, voicing My Opinion concerning another's creative efforts. Especially in certain genres of music I am not all that familiar with concerning very important elements that make up and meet the required standards to justify the various levels of ratings and grades. So, in saying ALL that, I will limit myself to MY Opinion concerning the quality of the work according to My ears, and the standards I have been familiarized with thru-out the years. I hold to the old - saying " Beauty Is In The EAR of The Beholder ... LOL. The sound quality of the recording over-all is very crisp and bright and clear, I really enjoyed the acoustic guitar work in this song.Think about a music solo break to step away from vocals for a short period in future works. Vocals are smooth and natural, sort of - down to earth as they say, and extremely peaceful. Perhaps back the effects on the vocals off a little. The mix levels let me know who was still in charge of this song. Very easy to sit back and listen to. I mean no offense in any part, I myself take all feedback and use it as a tool toward my next project. I pray you feel the same way. Either way, I say to you, keep doing what you do, keep kicking and enjoying what you do. I tell folks all the time for many years. When it stops being FUN, then it's time to stop, and stand back and think about what we are doing, why we are doing it, how we are doing it, what we and others are getting out it. Is it what we want, and how we want it. IF NOT. what are willing to do from there? Thank you again for asking MY OPINION. Johnny

A good voice

The begin of this sentimental song is very beauty and romantic, then the melody becomes too much aggressive. I think that your voice is interesting and you can do good things using it well.

Talented Singer Songwriter

This song sounds like an audio sample, but that gives the tune some magical moments. The intro starts off with well played acoustic guitar which plays the main role on this recording. Rebecca Boux has a unique dynamic voice and a brilliant vocal projection making this original track complete. The emotional lyrics telling a personal story with conclusions from the heart. The chorus is impressive and makes the meaning of the song engaging for me. The song is not overly complex but Rebecca shows that some chords are enough for good music. Overall an ambitious recording, but I would prefer using only reverb for the voice. The echo effect sounds unusal for a live demo. Anyway, I'm sure you will also like to add it. Let others know your recommedation.

Bright future prediction

Helpful

A familiar vocal sound - albeit covered in reverb - however, the energy and entusiastic rendition goes a long way, showing that there is both writing and performing talent here. Would be nice to hear the voice without all the effect in order to hear the genuine purity. That said, this sounds like there's a lot more to come, and I predict a bright future, so keep on track and thanks for the listen.
