I love the rhymic gospel feel. I use to play for Israel Houghton and it reminds me of his writing. It's fun, lively, and the message is spot on. It's is mixed and recorded well. Great musicianship. Loved the saxophone solo. Vocals are in tune. Overall great job! I like that the message is taking on the things that are coming against us and giving a mindset to overcome through the power of Jesus. The is one of the best I have heard on this platform. I heard this and it really energised me to recall that His Grace is sufficient for all our needs. The Main Vocal talent is right on point singing the words in time with the beat of the percussion. There is a special anointing on this song of exhortation. The Saxaphone player is especially effective and anointed as well. You have a winner with this song lyric and composition, and the band sounds like a full band. A song to edify the Saints and exhort them to keep pressing toward the mark. Excellent musicianchip throughout and backup vocal talent make this song a top choice for when one needs to raise the spirit. This song would also fit in the Spoken Word Genre. I would give it a 5.0 if I could hear the introduction for the first 10-20 seconds which fades out and back in. So maybe, consider uploading a new re-mastered track. Love the chord pattern at the intro to the tune - shows some great compositional skill. The vocalist is tight and polished. Very contemporary sounding almost Bruno Mars-ish (musical term). Very catchy groove. Good overall production. Nicely done - makes me want to hear from this group. Message is right on point in the lyrics - should do nicely in the Contemporary Christian market. Purpose is an awesome song and Pursuing JC did a fantastic job! The recording itself, as a whole is very nicely done. I love the rhythm and flow of the lyrics and the singing and the guitar is standing out in the mix. The vocals are sitting in the pocket in my humble opinion perfectly and his vocal reflection and projection is phenomenal. All in all Purpose by Pursuing JC is a song that everyone should enjoy.
