Go Easy On Yourself
"Whoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him also shall the Son of Man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels." (Mark 8:38)
Do not criticize yourself over the past. Just learn its lessons. What's done is done. But look at yourself in the present, so you don't go on repeating past sins.
And go easy on yourself. There will be plenty of criticism from others, and if God the Father is inclined to condemn you, he has plenty of grounds already. Criticizing yourself and dwelling excessively on past sins, mistakes, and disasters only makes you hungry in heart, and drives you to addictions of various kinds. Your task, from here on out, is to learn joyful obedience, and to let go of self-condemnation.
