    Ultimate Louisiana Party Tour Returns to Dripping Springs

    Downhome Louisiana fun…Laissez les bon temps rouler!

    Baton Rouge, LA…The Ultimate Louisiana Party tour is returning to Dripping Springs on Saturday, March 17 and Sunday, March 18 at Hudson’s on Mercer. Show times are 2:00pm to midnight. Each day the family friendly event features continuous music with twenty live bands and solo artists on two stages. Genres include soul, blues, rock, R&B, Americana, reggae and more. The festival also has a Vendors Village, visual artists and ‘Taste of Louisiana’ food, along with festival food favorites. Louisiana performers to date include Henry Turner Jr. & Flavor and some of Henry Turner Jr.’s Listening Room All-Stars that should include southern soul singer Uncle Chess, gospel jazz singer Wyanda Paul, blues rapper Lee Tyme and singer/songwriter Larry “LZ” Dillon. Additional performers expected to date are the folk rock duo of Natasha and Chad Hudson, blues trio The Patrons, The Gypsy Mullet blues band, The Captain Ledge Band, a blue grass quartet from Oklahoma, Christian/gospel singer Pastor Reese, the all-girl rock band Weep from Florida, singer/songwriter Meshach Jackson and the rock band Clutch Kings. Also on the bill are members of the Austin Songwriters Association. More acts will be announced closer to the date.

    General Admission tickets are $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for children 2 to 12, with children 2 and under free. Two day passes are $15 for adults and $7.50 for children 2 to 12.     The Ultimate Louisiana Party also has performers from the Cutting Edge Music Business Conference held annually in New Orleans for more than a quarter of a century.     The festival will feature Texas’ own T-Watt Amplifiers on both stages. These hand crafted guitar and bass amps are currently making lots of noise across the country with their Texas Waveform Analog Tube Technology. The company was founded and is owned by Ace Records and former Stax Records recording artist Jack Kay, who played guitar with the Sugar Bush and Black Bone bands.     The Ultimate Louisiana Party festival tour was created in 2011 by Henry Turner Jr. These events bring the culture, excitement and fun of his home state to audiences around the country. They also give local, regional and national performers a place to showcase their music, songs, spoken word and visual arts. Since its inception, in addition to Texas, parties have been held in Arizona, California, Oregon, Utah, Idaho, Washington State and Virginia.

    Henry Turner Jr. & Flavor are well known for developing a syncopated style of music that incorporates up beat dance tunes with tongue-in-cheek lyrics, Louisiana storytelling, and heartfelt and touching ballads. Touring extensively over the years, their current releases are the blues tunes “The Baton Rouge Theme Song” and “You Got Me Doin’ What U Want.” Fan favorites include “2 Many Women,” “Ugly Man” and “Limbo,” along with romantic ballads “Love Me or Leave Me” and “I Might Just Let You Go.”
