Pasqually - "Carved In Stone"

Helpful

Upon your very first listen to the fabulous "Carved In Stone" by New Jersey based artists Pasqually - you will no doubt be impressed by the fine vocals, writing, musicianship and production. While it's going to be the case that Pasqually's influences are apparent, there is an undeniable originality and "spark" that is most impressive. Looking forward to hearing more from this fabulous artist!

Once it gets going.

I don't know what the delay is at the beginning, but the groove feels good once it hits the start. It carries very well also, with vocals reaching very well with strong harmonies. That's the way to get the attention when you're playing a good show. People love harmonies, plus the song rocks with a good balance between the guitars and the vocals. I felt the drums could have been a bit louder but that's just me. Keep up the good work and keep rockin'!

Bad Ass Song

"Carved in Stone", featuring Pasqually is a really cool heavy rocker with all the elements that make a hit. The lyrics are as powerful as the delivery by the lead vocalist. Any guitar lover will appreciate the electric guitar riffs and phrasings. The overall melody is easy to follow throughout the entire song and the mix of guitars along with the driving beat of the drums and bass keep you moving 'til the end. This is a Bad Ass song!

Here’s a cool rocking song by Pasquale entitled carved in stone,I can’t help notice the style of song that reminds me right away of Ronnie James Dio and a hint of Motörhead. The song has a good flow from beginning to end, very good musicianship and production as well. The vocal’s are very dark and deep and fits this rocking song. Very well mixed and produced. Can’t help notice the cool guitar riffs and very well placed double bass drum hits as well. Overall, great song good luck with it.

One of the things I enjoy most about Number One Music artists is the newfound ability to hear music from around the world by singers who I'd never have the chance to listen to otherwise. That, in itself, is a great thing. Here, with this song it's interesting to start with an intro that sounds like a video game sound clip. Vocally, this sounds echo-y like a live performance, but better produced and mixed. Pasqually's strong performance takes us on an impassioned journey. I'd be interested to hear more.

A very well played and written song, reminiscent of the eighties hair metal style of music. True to form, the guitar was prominent in the mix while not overshadowing the vocals. The Drum and Bass tracks were very well laid in and put a solid foundation down for the song. Vocals were nicely done, clear with maybe just a touch too much time based effect but very enjoyable non the less. Great job, cant wait to hear the next one.

I am sitting listening and I hear good and I hear potential. The potential is hard to hear because of the mix and that's understandable as I am assuming you are recording at home on a budget. So, assuming I am right I want to make all of the critiques I think you should have to help you achieve a little better mix. The vocals are a little heavy with effect and it's ok if you are into that but the lead vocal is overpowering everything in the mix. It's not "in the mix" it's on top of it. That being said. The chorus is very repetitive and somewhat of a put off. I get you're carved in stone and meant to be but that's about all I got out of it. I wanted more and maybe I'm wanting something that you didn't think your listener would want. I actually would have loved to have been able to read your lyrics to be 100% honest but that's not a critique that is my personal preference so take that with a grain of salt. So with the vocals being so loud I could barely hear the bass so I'm not going to tell you it was good or bad. What I could hear sounded pretty much in the pocket and solid. Guitar solo was a highlight of the song but it was way too quiet in the mix. Since no vocals are in the guitar solo section there is no harm in it being a little hot for the mix. I would have loved to have heard this solo a little more in your face and I appreciate the style and technique. So all in all it's not a bad song. I think the mix is the only thing that I can really say is unsettling. So I'm hoping you try it again and see what you've got. I don't think you have a lack of any talent I think you need a little more experience in recording and mixing and you'll be a killer band!

Loved this song....reminds me of the good old days of rock & roll (there is a hint of Ozzy in there if you listen closely). Who doesn't love guitar solos, along with the pounding drums and great vocals. All around, a very good song that I will listen to over and over again.
