Review of ENDLESS ROAD
The songs opening riff is clever, but the overall mix/sound is a little weak for this jam. The electric guitar joins in and is very tasty as a compliment, which leads right into the lead vocals... Strange, usually the vocals are too soft for a song like this, but in this case either the music needs to come up, or the vocals need to back off a bit. The intro could have been a little longer with more drama as the drums come in. The drums are there but the kit needs to be heavier for this song - esp the snare. The lyrics are good, and fun to follow; but the parts where the song shifts needs some harmonies, or at least another voice on some of the lines to give it extra kick! The short solo section is a great way to lead into the last section of this song, The lyrics "I can see beyond the misery ,etc" are excellent thoughts to bring the song to a close. The overall melody of the song is very pleasant, and sticks to you - it grows on you. The final riffs as the band kicks it out - is really the best possible ending - a thoughtful way to take the song out. Overall, this song was fun to listen to (a few times for sure), and it's strength are the riffs throughout the song, the melody which keeps appearing over and over, and the lyrics which are not trite or superficial - they demand one pay close attention and listen carefully to get the entire message. For me, I would have to hear this song several times to really have the words sink in. That's not bad - just more depth lyrically than most songs. And, the lead guitar was a nice touch coming in and out at different parts/sections of the song. On the down side, the song's mix should be heavier all around, especially the drums/bass/r.guitar - which is the core of most rock songs. If this song is a 5 - it needs to kick up the mix - to a 7-8 and let the listeners know you are getting down to business. The lead vocals, while not strong - are sung well, and about right for this song. The only suggestion here is more passion, at least on some of the parts/lines of the song. And, a 2nd voice on the Bridge or Choruses - on some lines, for emphasis would add as the song progresses. This song has not reached it's full potential - but all the elements are there to take it up a couple more levels. Thanks for sharing a well crafted song, with excellent lyrics and ideas to enjoy along the journey to the end. Michael

potential to be great
potential here to be a great song.reminds me of stills in the voice, good sound, and like a david crosby song in csny.the recording quality is not good, guitar lead is good but the song doesnt build or really go anywhere.too much repetition in the melody line,no real hook or chorus,so its got great potential, but needs a lot of work, but is worth it. the words seem to meander, study lyrics and chord changes, theres a lot of material out there, this tune as is would do better with just an acoustic and voice.lyric writing is a good book by davis, good sound though but needs work on the above mentioned stuff.study as I said theory and learn what a chorus is and a verse, dynamics, building a song.tear good songs that you like apart and study all of it.good intentions musically dont always pan out, sometimes simple is best, but hard to whittle down from too much. as I said good idea, good vocal sound of the voice, guitar lead is okay, drums not so much, cant hear bass and recording quality is poor .keep at it youve got a good start.

Outfall Rocks!
The song has lots of twists and turns that make it interesting. It could have a better mix but I can tell what is going on. It's a little harsh in the high end and the drums are there but not really full sounding. The vocal sound is good but I know there are some better takes that would perfect this recording. The guitar is nice and I like the vibrato bends and the way the bass and guitar come together in places. The lyrics are good but don't really get specific about what the fallacy is he is talking about. All that said, it is an enjoyable song and a good band waiting for a good recording budget to happen. Keep it up! Blessings

I like the originality of your work. Strong message and creativity is a big plus. Good production, I can hear some good vocals to this, good job on the final mix-down. I can tell you have your heart and soul into what you do. Keep on pushing and never give up or get distracted in pursuing the dream of making it. I like the instrumental blend of sounds with some vocals and the production on the track is good. Keep up the great work! Peace!!!

Vocals have some real potential - keep developing your style
Vocals in this song have some definite charisma and style. They are too washed out by the excessive cymbals and ride of the drums in my opinion. The guitar licks are tasteful and classy. The rhythm section needs work to make the vocals and guitar really shine.

"Endless Road" by Outfall
Upon your very first listen to the song "Endless Road" by the excellent California based Christian Rock band Outfall, you cannot help but to be impressed by the band's writing and musicianship, and the music's overall production in general. While some of the band's influences are very evident, Outfall most definitely has their own unique sound. Very highly recommended!

rock
