- Von (R2)
Robert 'Von' Herndon was born in Wilmington California in the 1960's and grew up on a tiny farm nestled, in the orange groves near Porterville, California. Surrounded by country music, his life was changed forever when he heard 'Mississippi Queen' by Mountain in 1972 and thus began a lifelong obsession with hard rock and heavy metal. After hearing Motorhead's 'Ace Of Spades' on local station KBOS in 1982, Von escaped from the farm one night, disguised as a scarecrow, on a truckload of oranges, bound for Los Angeles.
Often sleeping in the back of a delivery truck, Von worked the Sunset Strip as a guitarist in the late 1980's. Von also became an accomplished guitar and amp tech, learning the trades of both recording engineer and producer, all the while working as an unknown artist on many studio productions.
These days, Von enjoys working with various Southern California artists to help them realize their musical dreams. Occasionally, Von can be found selling pumpkins and homemade alcohol from a roadside stand in Pumpkin Center, California,
