Ogaitu / Ogaitu´s Songs / "Rainbows on the floor"

Rolling right away...

I was caught up in the rhythm immediately and the lyrics are very nicely written. I love the simple and clear delivery of the theme. If anything I would hope you add would be some kind of instrumental lead in a main chorus to build a rising emotional tone. It seems that the length is evident that this is only the first quarter of the song? I would love to get a copy of this to play to. Would you be willing to send me one to my email address? In any case it is a very good product and I look forward to seeing it in the future! ~E

Ogaitu Rainbows on the floor

A Good quality recording interesting vocal work that you have to lean in to hear Quite a short piece mixing the oil and water to make rainbows on the floor Guitar and wood block style percussion. Thought provoking lyrics with gental warnings. Abrupt ending . This individual non run of the mill tune Worth a listen or two

A modern fusion of sounds

This is an interesting song, with a mix of different elements, from a sound similar to "house" to a simple voice, fast whispered. The result is a modern fusion, very apt for a discotheque or a spot.

My kind of out there

I may only be a young forty seven, but I have filled my head with music from the start. "WOW" The thing I crave for in music is surprise which is why I am writing this review. If you critique, you'll write this is too this, that is too that but you'd be missing the point. This is about the voice and modern music being used to talk to the universe and only pray she is listening. The connection between us is music and love and I love this sound and this energy. Bravo !

In MY Opinion

Greetings, Thank you for choosing me to review your work, I count it an honor to be included in such a task. My hat is off to you and anyone willing to step out and share their gift, talent and love of music to the public. Be it a musician, singer, song writer, actor and so-on. I myself, via 40 some years of experience in the fields, on the road, in the studio, radio, TV, video, and management, consider myself to be a seasoned musician, singer, song writer, studio-sound tech/engineer/ owner/operator, stage manager, find it sometimes hard/difficult and perhaps not even fair to sit in a seat, voicing My Opinion concerning another's creative efforts. Especially in certain genres of music I am not all that familiar with concerning very important elements that make up and meet the required standards to justify the various levels of ratings and grades. So, in saying ALL that, I will limit myself to MY Opinion concerning the quality of the work according to My ears, and the standards I have been familiarized with thru-out the years. I hold to the old - saying " Beauty Is In The EAR of The Beholder ... LOL. The sound quality of the recording over-all is very crisp and bright and clear, I really enjoyed the beat and energy of the song. It was extreme short. Think about an extended version and a solo break to step away from vocals for a short period. Vocals are so processed I could not understand the words. The mix levels let me know who was still in charge of this song. Not very easy to sit back and listen to since I lost the message. I mean no offense in any part, I myself take all feedback and use it as a tool toward my next project. I pray you feel the same way. Either way, I say to you, keep doing what you do, keep kicking and enjoying what you do. I tell folks all the time for many years. When it stops being FUN, then it's time to stop, and stand back and think about what we are doing, why we are doing it, how we are doing it, what we and others are getting out it. Is it what we want, and how we want it. IF NOT. what are willing to do from there? Thank you again for asking MY OPINION. Johnny

Electronic based song

This composition characterizes unconventional sounds and effects in style of electronical music with persistent beat. A unique fusion of pop and electro. The keys puts one into a cosmos of sublement generated sounds bringing increasing feel into the tune. Inspirering lyrics sung with modulated vocal give an account in words that we´re not alone out there including relevant characteristics of feeling like an alien. Overall an extraordinary recording for a self-produced tune but the track doesn´t sounds really as a finished product. Even so, a good job from a very talented musician. Listen to the music and maybe you likewise add him. Let others know your recommendation.

Cool stuff!!

This is really good man! I wish I could write my own stuff. I have 3 "originals". My late Pop wrote a talking blues song named Which Part Goes Where, that I now perform. My Sister wrote a traditional folk song named Dony Girl for me to perform. And, my Brother-in-law wrote the lyrics & I made up the tune for a Retinitis Pigmentosa awareness song named Tunnel Vision that I perform. If I could write, I would write 3 or 4 more about the other effects of RP. I really envy you folks who can write your own songs!

Nice Styling and melodic theme

This song has a good feel to it. Kit is easy, not cumbersome to appreciate at all. I like the flow, the gentle touch of the vocal treatment and catchy beat as well as feel. Nice job. The vocal treatment is somewhat understated, which is a good thing and aids in establishing the " feel" also providing a comfortable overall experience. The production is appropriate for the song as well.

Nice one !

Like the tune and great lyrics. Think it might sound even better if the drums are pushed forward a bit, even leading to the drums really coming on strong in the last verse to build to a climax ...
