NEW NEWS: Ups and downs and ups and downs. What strange month. Had a bunch of work booked and then rain... sheesh.... Just seemed to be spinning my wheels getting nowhere. But I had a bunch of meetings for fall events and things are looking to be busy, busy, busy!!! August is looking pretty open, so I can catch up on house projects and studio stuff. In the meantime, lots of new stuff to check out. Jean-Pierre and the Zydeco Angels - Grabbed a little footage from last month's Guero's show in Austin. Here's Cooking in the Kitchen and The L'Argent on Youtube. Widespread Noise - We really cranked stuff out here: This Way That is a glitch beat track with minimal synth accompaniment. I just liked how it came out. There's not much to it, but it's a cool beat. Deep Inside a Peaceful Mind is a lovely ambient track good for relaxation, meditation, sleeping, etc... Paradise Surrounds Us is an active, ambient track for calming the mind and refreshing the spirit. This is an extended track of 18:18 of lush sound. Noah Peterson has a new release - Put It In Your Pocket. Another juicy Synth-house jam taken from the Monday night live stream sessions. Sax, Synth, Beats.... Put it on and go for a rhythmic ride. I really like this jam. Nice and funky, good space, for once I didn't throw everything in my studio on it. Also got some pretty serious imaging going on aka this is not a "balanced" mix. Really like the bounce that I got with the Bass Station II. I think the Youtube video is pretty fun. I did want to take a moment to share that Jim Templeton, band leader and composer for Cosmic Dust has passed. We are proud to carry all three of Jim's recordings on our label and will preserve his legacy of jazz. RIP my friend.
